Jury duty and all sorts of obligations are eating up the schedule right now, so this week we’ll examine what your favorite porn studios have on tap as we breeze into spring. First, though, a bit of disappointing news: The Gaiety in New York City has closed its doors. Somehow this underappreciated nightclub managed to stay open throughout the Giuliani Scourge as everything truly delicious and seedy about the Big Apple was driven underground or out of business entirely. Many of our boys performed at the Gaiety over the years.

I wrapped production this week on my third directorial effort, SEX WITH STRANGERS for All Worlds Video. So the past seven days have been kind of an erotic blur of condoms and lube, Mapquest directions and lunch menus, cumshots and butt pimples. I’ll have the scoop in an upcoming column. In the meantime, we continue our coverage of the GAYVN Awards and all of the attendant hoopla.
From the Dept. of Corrections and Clarifications: I wrote last time that the crowd numbered about 300 but “AVN” wrote to let me know the actual number was closer to 400 attendees. And I mentioned hottie punk Bobby Williams stripping down to a thong at Chi Chi LaRue’s afterparty and macking on another young stud named TYLER Marks. I got his name wrong last week.

Another year, another awards show. The sixth annual GAYVN Awards are now part of the history books. The invitation-only shindig went down Thursday, March 10th at Rage nightclub in West Hollywood. A good 300 people, everyone from newbies to legends, were in attendance with directrix Chi Chi LaRue as hostess. Best Picture winner BUCKLEROOS (Buckshots/Colt) set GAYVN history with eleven wins out of eighteen nominations, followed by HORSE: FALLEN ANGEL 5 (Titan Media) with four wins and BOLT (Rascal Video) with three.

I had the pleasure of a leisurely breakfast this week at EatWell in West Hollywood with the peerless Michael Brandon. He was in town on business and to update me on the goings-on at Raging Stallion Studios, home to his Monster Bang line. First, however, a few items of business:
Mr. Brandon delivered the sad news that Hooboy of Male4maleescorts.com has died. “It is with extreme sadness [that] I need to announce we lost Hooboy last night,” reads a note on the website. “We’ve lost a remarkable man, a unique resource and a friend that I feel we’ll never be able to replace.” Our condolences go out to his friends and family.
