Directrix Chi Chi LaRue and her porn crew jetted off to Majorca, Spain this week for a two-week shoot. I visited with Ms. LaRue at the Channel 1 Releasing offices in Hollywood the day before s/he was set to leave. We caught each other up on all the recent gossip and I got a peek at an early edit of the opening sequences of HEAVEN TO HELL, the lavish epic populated solely by Falcon exclusives that is the last fuck flick Ms. LaRue directed for the venerable studio.

Some good news on the publishing front, an April Fool’s prank gone awry, porn biz newcomers are planning to party and a public catfight between a couple of industry heavyweights make up this week’s column of goodies. We’ll close things out with a glance at new titles just released on DVD.

First up, I’m about to embark on a dream project. I have long wanted to write a history of the gay adult entertainment industry. It’s a book project I’ve quietly been researching for about five years, and this week I landed seed money from MSR Videos to get the ball rolling in earnest. (As Constant Readers know, I was MSR’s publicist and production manager for several years.) The studio has generously agreed to fund the next stage of my research.

In their ongoing efforts to ensure I never get any work done on schedule, Nakedsword.com recently offered “Jack Ryan Week” on their site with streaming (ha-ha) clips of his various titles. Thanks, guys. This comes on the heels of “Matthew Rush Week,” no less. Argh. So many beautiful men, so little time…

Daddy had an unexpectedly busy week, so let’s push the press releases and so forth to the next column, and dive into another edition of the “Adams Report” mailbag. Can you believe it’s April already? What the hell happened to New Years? Eh, anyway, May is only a month away, and in gay porn that means International Mr. Leather Weekend in Chicago and the “Gay Chicago” magazine Grabby Awards. Saturday, May 28th (Memorial Day weekend) is the date for the big show. Nominations have been announced and are up at Grabbys.com. I’ll have more analysis next week, but as expected, BUCKLEROOS (Buckshots/Colt) cleaned up with 147 nods in 86 categories. (Kidding! It’s actually fourteen nominations, including Best Gay Video.)
