HOLLYWOOD — Columnist and director Jason Sechrest of JasonCurious.com is tickling his…funny bone. He has written and will perform a comedy show titled “15 Minutes of Shame”.

The first two dates for the show are Monday, April 2, 9:00pm (Howl at the Moon, Universal CityWalk) and Tuesday, April 24, 10:00pm (M Bar in Hollywood). [Update: The Howl at the Moon date has been postponed to Monday, April 16th at 9:00pm.]

“I am excited to announce that I will be performing at the world-famous Hollywood Improv this summer and before the big date, I’ve been lucky enough to be booked by a few famed restaurants, piano bars and comedy clubs to test my material,” Mr. Sechrest writes in the press release. “If you’ve ever seen me host any events or shows, you already know the answer to that question. You’re going to get lots of me, the love child of Liza Minnelli and Jiminy Glick, and my entirely inappropriate view of the world at large.”

You can also find Mr. Sechrest in an unexpected venue this April. An ardent Madonna devotee, Mr. Sechrest was tagged by Lionsgate to lend a comedic fan’s perspective to the DVD release of Shanghai Surprise. “No one even remotely involved in the movie wanted to do the audio commentary,” he tells me, “so here I am!”
