Bound & Gagged Video is Back (ouch!)

[Slight edit 02/03/08.] We’ve got some hurts-so-good news√¢‚Ǩ‚Äùouch!√¢‚Ǩ‚Äùfor B&D fans: Bound & Gagged Video is back. Constant Readers will recall when, in 2005, the early days of the government’s 2257 paperwork scourge, B&G’s legendary proprietor Bob Wingate abruptly shut down his company (magazines and films). Top Hat Releasing has now purchased the distribution rights to the B&G library and has set about remastering and re-releasing every single title, starting with 2001′s BOYNAPPED, costarring Sam Dixon and Matt Sizemore. Mr. Wingate writes on his blog that back in 2005, Bound & Gagged’s distributor “got scared and dumped us on the grounds that we were too edgy, which we weren’t, and that we weren’t in 2257 compliance, which we were.” Jump ahead to summer, 2007 and Top Hat Releasing came calling with a deal to remaster each film and service them to retail outlets (only a handful of their 30-odd titles were sent out on the distribution track anyway). Each DVD will also feature photo galleries drawn from the extensive Bound & Gagged archives. Top Hat also says the package will include new DVD inserts and “a special full-colour mini-magazine as a special gift.”
As for Bob Wingate, he has completed a novel and in the light of this new distribution deal, is considering a return to tying up sexy young bucks on camera.
