Matt Sanchez’s Troubles with “Gay Jihadist”

Check out this weird little bit of ephemera involving Matt Sanchez (the ex-Rod Majors and new darling of right-wing media pundits). Over the weekend an anonymous Constant Reader sent me a YouTube link to a posting apparently made by Mr. Sanchez that records a phone conversation with a “stalker” (his word). The convo runs 9:36 and the guy is apparently trying to set up a sex date. “This person claims to be a Marine,” Mr. Sanchez says in the YouTube summary, calling the guy a “gay jihadist.” He also says he’s had a “security breach” of his email, and “(t)he two may be related, so I let this person call me. The following is the conversation as the ‘Marine’ forces himself to sound convincing. I play along. He is recording the conversation.” Wait, who recorded the conversation? And who posted it? Something smells fishy. Queerty.com has similar reservations. “We’re not biting,” they note. “(T)his stalker is recording your conversation, but you posted the audio? Wow, he√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a really nice stalker.”

Who cares about this dickhead? He doesn’t need the press. Let him go play with his Republican friends and save the space for someone else. PLEASE.
I care! Because Matt Sanchez is a favorite tool of the right. Lately he spends half his time spreading anti-gay hate speech on ultra-conservative web sites. He has connections to some of the most noxious personalities in the media. (Michelle Malkin, Melanie Morgan, David Horowitz) And he emulates fringe lunatics like Ann Coulter and Michael Weiner Savage. Because he’s a marine, he’s their go-to guy when they need to slime any Iraq war vet who challenges the rightwing propaganda. Ignoring him won’t make him go away. He needs to be exposed for what he is — a complete fraud.

Sanchez is still a very active homosexualist. He met the caller on Craig’s List and they traded porn photos and phone numbers. The caller recorded their first phone conversation and sent a copy to Sanchez, telling him he was planning to send it out to his conservative buddies. Sanchez put it on YouTube to cover his ass.
