A few Constant Readers have asked why I haven’t done a story about Falcon exclusive Erik Rhodes and his tumultuous breakup with boyfriend Danny Dias (of MTV’s Road Rules fame), which has kept The Grapevine thrumming the past several weeks. Lemme tell you a quick story: About five years ago in my column, I snarked about a porn star’s “on-again-off-again-on-again” relationship with his ex, also a skin star. After the column ran, he got in touch to let me know that although he wasn’t angry, it hurt to have his fragile reconciliation with his boyfriend publicly mocked, even if gently so. That got to me (I’m not sure why, but it did), and I decided to steer away from writing about relationships, especially when they went bad; there are other gossips more cold-blooded about this sort of thing, and that’s fine for them. Anyway, it’s not a hard and fast rule. In this case, Mr. Rhodes is blogging publicly about the breakup, and he’s going on The Derek & Romaine Show tomorrow (Thursday) to talk about it. So visit the blog or tune in (channel 109 on Sirius radio, 6:00-10:00pm EST) for the scoop. [Image √Ǭ© FalconStudios.com.]

Usually when an ex-partner brags of the ‘end of a love affair’ (good name for a song), its usually their fault. Never try to blame the ‘silent partner’, unless you have something to hide?

Poor Erik. He has so much going for him and just can’t seem to get his romantic life straight. Erik, just be single for awhile! It’s a cliche, but be your OWN boyfriend for awhile!

LOL…I’m always baffled why these guys think they can be in a realtionship whith someone other than in there business..how can a healthy relationship last with some one having sex on camera for money and escorting, Mr. Rhodes actually looked better in the beginning, but like most the steroids and drugs are starting to turn him into a FREAK like MATTHEW RUSH among others, I hope his ex get far away and settle with someone decent out of that business, just goes to show you looks and a body does not a relationship make, not to mention porn, for Mr. Rhodes I suggest keep making porn and excorting till you drop of the face of the earth like many have recently..SHAME!

Jack — Gimme a break. I know plenty of porn actors who have normal relationships with non-porn civilians. It comes down to the personalities involved, not what one of the pair does for a living.

Huge Erik Rhodes fan, but I worry about him when I read blog entries like he’s been doing. I almost don’t want to know, because I envision him as strong and confident. Maybe I’m just sensitive from the Heath ledger tragedy. But I worry about Erik when I read how wrecked he gets from these fights with boyfriends.
