GAYVN Awards: Derek & Romaine, Lady Bunny Set to Host

[Edited 3:24 pm.] UPDATE: When I was guesting on “The Derek & Romaine Show” last month (channel 109, Sirius OutQ satellite radio), we dished the GAYVN Awards and they joked in mock-anger about why they hadn’t ever been asked to host the show. Lo! Give it barely a month and guess who have been asked to handle emcee duties for the Saturday, February 16 show in San Francisco? No official announcement has come from GAYVN just yet, but D&R have it listed on their events calendar. I caught wind of a certain dragstress cohost, too—(and it’s not who you think it would be) Ms. Lady Bunny. I just got off the phone with GAYVN’s Harker Jones, who confirmed the details and tells me, also, that the Hall of Fame and Special Achievement Award announcements are coming at some point. Stay tuned for specifics.

    I think that Andy Dick would have been the perfect replacement for Goddess Kathy Griffin. And I know he’d done it! Just ask him. Well, perhaps next year :-)
