Nickolay Petrov Charged with Attempting to Kill Florida Couple

In early January, the U.S. Attorney’s office in Sarasota, Florida arrested and charged Edmon Vardanyan, 23, with “traveling in interstate commerce with intent to kill, injure, harass or intimidate another person,” following four alleged attempts to threaten a Florida couple into paying a debt. Mr. Vardanyan is better known to gay adult industry fans as Jet Set exclusive Nickolay Petrov. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years imprisonment. The FBI has investigated him for stalking Grigori Komissarchuk, 69, and Galina Komissarchuk, 64, both of Sarasota. Per a news report, the stalking began “in September of 2006 at the couple’s other home in Brooklyn, New York when Vardanyan acted as a deliveryman and tried to hit the husband. The next day the man was hit in the head with a blunt object. He was beaten, kicked and lost consciousness and any memory of how the attack ended.” Eric Kuske, Mr. Vardanyan’s attorney, has denied the allegations. In December of 2006, in Sarasota, Mrs. Komissarchuk was attacked by a man with a hammer, who also broke into their home and attacked Mr. Komissarchuk. Both identified Mr. Vardanyan as the suspect from a photo lineup. He has allegedly admitted to detectives that he had been hired for a fee of $2000 to intimidate the couple into paying off a debt, and that a hit to kill the couple had been discussed with a price of $10,000 apiece. He had not been paid because “he didn’t do the job correctly,” according to a published report.
I called Jet Set and spoke to Head of Production Chris Steele, who said the company was unaware of these developments. I also spoke today with Mr. Vardanyan’s booking agency, Fabscout Entertainment. A company rep told me they knew he had been arrested and offered support to his family.
Nickolay Petrov is nominated for two GAYVN Awards at next week’s ceremony, Best Group Scene for COMMUNION (Hot House) and Best Threesome for Jet Set’s JUST ADD WATER. Both films are also up for Best Picture.
