Press Release Roundup: Lucas Entertainment announced today that performer-CEO Michael Lucas has been invited to speak at Stanford University. The Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU — yeah, go ahead, get it out, have a chuckle) Speakers Bureau arranged “An Evening with Michael Lucas” for 7:00pm on February 14 at Cubberley Auditorium. Spokesperson T. Patrick Cordova says, “The ASSU Speakers Bureau is thrilled to welcome Michael Lucas to Stanford University. We are excited to bring together Stanford’s commitment for academic excellence with Mr. Lucas’ cultural and social perspective.” Mr. Lucas has previous been invited to speak at New York University, Yale and Rutgers. Although the title of his lecture is “The Role of Safe Sex in Pornography and Cultural AIDS Prevention,” in the press release Mr. Lucas expressed appreciation for Stanford’s willingness to not limit the topics of discussion. “Porn is my main job, but there are other fields in which I became expert in and feel confident and comfortable talking about,” he says.
