In Print: Bobby Blake’s “Life in Porn”

Just recently I’ve written about the forthcoming John Holmes biography from BearManor Media (click here), and we already know about Blue Blake’s forthcoming autobio, Out of the Blue: Confessions of an Unlikely Porn Star; both tomes will hit shelves in August. I was doing some poking around this weekend (no pun intended) and came across another gay porn memoir penned by another Mr. Blake√¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùMy Life in Porn: The Bobby Blake Story. It’s from Running Press Books, the same imprint producing Blue Blake’s memoir, and gets a two-month head start with a June publication date. Bobby Blake retired from XXX about eight years ago and became√¢‚Ǩ‚Äùno joke√¢‚Ǩ‚Äùa minister (he hasn’t renounced his erotic past or his sexuality, but does frown on the skin trade these days).     Kyle – Good God, have you been online lately? There is no shortage of good-looking African-American models. Yes, mainstream big-studio porn has always been somewhat segregated, but you have to know where to look.
