Awards: RAD Video’s Golden Dickies

Awards! Awards! Gimme more awards! Did you know San Diego-based online retailer RAD Video has announced their 2008 Golden Dickie Awards? No, I didn’t either. I don’t actually know when these were announced (so apologies if this is old news to some of ya), but here you go: There are 32 categories honoring amateur films and companies (meaning other than the Big Nine studios), as well as big-studio stuff and ethnic films. Condomless productions predominate. Treasure Island Media leads the pack with five overall wins, followed by Lucas Entertainment with four, and Eurocreme with three citations.     But look at RAD Video’s Best Seller List and compare it with, say, TLA’s List. RAD Video seems to focus on bareback and less mainstream movies. That’s what fills their monthly catalog!
