If web traffic is any indication, the Visconti Triplets are the New Big Thing (well, The Next Three Big Things) in gay adult. All three stories we’ve published about these gents are far and away the busiest stories here at Gay Porn Times (click here and here and here). As well, the death of Jean-Daniel Cadinot (click here) and the arrest of Nickolay Petrov (click here and here) continue to resonate. Another story that popped into back prominence this week was news of the Tom of Finland cologne (click here and here). Other recent stories riling up GayPornLand: the departure of Falcon Studios CEO Todd Montgomery (click here and here); Zeb Atlas getting blown for the first time onscreen by Jake Cruise (click here); Matt “Rod Majors” Sanchez diagnosing Barack Obama’s “gay problem” (click here); and whether the Blatino Erotica Awards (click here) were snubbed by the gay press corps. Plus, Eddie Diaz (click here).

Gallic wonder François Sagat gives a brief French lesson to sexalicious Johnny Hazzard. (Click here for the 55-second instruction.) Hmm….I don’t know about y’all, but the combo of Mr. Hazzard’s handsome countenance and Mr. Sagat’s mellifluous, off-camera baritone makes me tingle, just a bit, in my happy place. [H/T The Sword.]

Ain’t nothin’ doin’ this lazy Friday in GayPornLand; thank the goddess COLT Studio sent along a few promotional snaps from last weekend’s IML Leather Mart in Chicago. (Top photo, from left): Gage Weston, Tory Mason, director Kristofer Weston, Guy Parker, newcomer Vic Rocco; (bottom photos) newbie Ricky Parks, flexing and boldly working the promotional angle. As we first revealed last week (click here), today is The Day, my Constant Readers. Today, this humble day, May 30, the vignette of straight-identified man-mountain Zeb Atlas allowing himself to be “orally serviced” (their words) by daddybear Jake Cruise goes live at Mr. Cruise’ eponymous website. HOOKED UP is a new import from Eastern Europe via performer-director Roland Dane and COLT Studio’s Olympus label. That’s blue-eyed charmer Jake Watson on the DVD insert; costars include the glamorous Claudio Antonelli and sultry sex bomb Jose Ganetti—who might hold the record for the most alternate noms de porn with about 13 or 14, at last count—alongside Dom Camillo, Steve Hunt, James Jordan, Tobias Steel, Chris Stone and a handful of mononamed gents. Who knows, with everyone dashing down to South America to shoot these days perhaps we’ll end up rediscovering Eastern Europe? HOOKED UP streets in late June.

Press Release Roundup: Factory Video is marking their 10th anniversary with the launch of their brand spankin’ new “web superstore” GayRealityPorn.com (a spin on Factory’s tag “real sex between real men”), which brings together their signature line with Blue Alley Studios, Cum Pig Men, Pumphouse Media, ThreshHold Media and other labels under one roof. “Ten years ago we launched a small site to sell dirty underwear. To help sell the product we started making 15-minute video clips to play online,” sez company owner Gord Reece in the press release, “becoming one of the world’s first adult web sites delivering streaming video. Once our customers started asking for our content on tape, we responded with Factory Video Productions.” Other tidbits: The new site is the “cornerstone” of their ongoing anniversary year revamp; Factory is also billing themselves as “the studio that returned cum-eating to gay porn”; and horndog Marc Sterling is employed there behind the scenes, in case you were wondering what he does when he’s not catting around onscreen. Oh, and that ghostly icon is actually “Spoogy,” Factory’s de facto mascot. He’s like Casper’s slutty gay cousin.

I was poking around the interwebs today and came across this sly, sexy slice of New Yawk beef. His name is Marco Steel (pictured above at left) and he’s got two fuck flicks under his belt for Big City Video, the current MIDNIGHT BOOTY CALL (where he tops Baby X, above) and YEAR OF THE PIG (for which he bangs Junior). Maybe I’m just feeling frisky today, but something about his onscreen mojo says, “So, so bad… but so, so worth it.”

[Edits 5:15pm.] ***UPDATE: Click here for the YouTube trailer. The embedded code we posted earlier seemed to be gumming up the works. (And how effing hot are those vintage Wrangler clips?!)*** Last week we wrote (click here) about the upcoming documentary Jack Wrangler: Anatomy of an Icon. It’s setting off on a tour of the gay film fest circuit, starting with Newfest in New York and a screening on June 7. Directors Gino Colbert, Jerry Douglas and Chi Chi LaRue (in boy drag) are seen in the trailer. [H/T Michael Musto.]

Pacific Sun Entertainment has announced the re-release of 2005’s FAN BASE from Black Mirror Productions and director Joe Gallant, a film with something of a mysterious provenance (”Raiders of the ‘Lost’ Porn Film!” blares a headline on the PacSun press release). “A handful of copies were burned and given to the cast of sexually talented unknowns,” the distributor sez. “One copy found its way to GAYVN magazine…and then it vanished!” Apparently Mr. Gallant pried loose a floorboard in then attic and found the movie again. (We’ve all had those kinds of weekends, Mr. Gallant, no worries.) FAN BASE is “set against the backdrop of New York’s seedy music and club scene” and shot with “the jaded, artsy, edgy eye of an urban auteur.” GAYVN’s four-star review in the November 2005 issue says it was “like being dropped suddenly into someone else’s raunchy, East Village club life… Great photography gets you up close and personal, indoors and out, and definitely heightens the pleasure watching fetid, episodic sex in New York City.” The flick streets June 13 and stars Mr. Joe (that’s him on the cover and who, GAYVN sez, “works hard for the money and bottoms for all who will have his hairy ass.” Attaboy!). Good ol’ Matt Sanchez—we all know his contentious history with GayPornLand, right? (click here and here)—is stirring the pot today with an editorial on the conservative website WorldNetDaily about Sen. Barack Obama’s “gay problem.” He opines about the recent California Supreme Court decision overturning the state’s ban on same-sex marriage by noting, “From sea to shinning sea, Americans have defined marriage as between man and woman; whether in Alabama or Alaska, it’s safe to say transsexual nuptials are politically toxic. Although every candidate quickly came out against gay marriage, Democrats are the most vulnerable to the accusations of being [a] closeted activist. When it comes to the ‘marriage equality’ agenda, the man who calls himself ‘the most consistent advocate on LGBT issues’ is particularly suspect. Like a staph infection resistant to aggressive antibiotics, Barack Obama has a gay problem that will keep returning if only the American media will recognize and examine the symptoms.” Mr. Sanchez’ subsequent argument is somewhat watery and appears to criticize the Senator for equivocating on gay issues; however, Mr. Sanchez sends decidedly mixed messages about his own feelings towards the LGBT community. Adult Video News took note (click here), calling it “a meandering editorial… (t)he rant comes from a man who not only now calls his brief gay-porn career ‘an identity outgrown’ but also has been investigated by the U.S. Marines not only for appearing in gay porn, but also for alleged improprieties associated with fund-raising for what the Marines termed a non-existent overseas deployment.”

Press Release Roundup: Last month we wrote (click here) about C.J. Knight, Ricky Sinz and Erik Rhodes—repping Hot House, Raging Stallion Studios and Falcon Studios, respectively—signing on as spokeshunks for the Manhunt “7 Sexy Sins” Tour. The manflesh parade kicked off May 24 at Dunes Resort in Saugatuck, MI and continues this weekend at The Roxy in Boston—all three gents will be there, plus cutie-pie Dallas Reeves repping HisFirstHugeCock.com—and moves on to Axis in Columbus, Ohio on June 6 and Bounce in Cleveland on June 7; Falcon’s T.J. Hawke will headline both dates. As we wrote last time, Manhunt is defining “sexy sins” as “bondage, fellatio, masturbation, orgy rimming, sodomy and voyeurism.” We could think of a few more, but it’s not our tour.

From my unique vantage point as Editor of the Adam Gay Video Directory, I’ve taken note of the proliferation of inked-up porn studs over the past couple of years. We are so far beyond the point when producers would send a model home for sporting tribal tatts around his upper bicep (or even when François Sagat’s scalp tattoo was considered too outré for gay porn). Heavily tattooed skin is yet another “fetish” that has become commonplace in gay adult (like fisting and watersports). We recently wrote about Tattooed Man Logan McRee (click here), but are you familiar with new-ish Big City Video fuck machine Clover? He boasts an LL Cool J vibe, and could challenge Mr. McRee for sheer acreage of body ink. MIDNIGHT BOOTY CALL is his new blue movie, but Mr. Clover also has BULLDOZER, COCKBLOCKER, DOIN’ 69 and SUPER DAWGZ this year alone, plus HORSE HUNG HUSTLERS, VOL. 3 in 2006. You can also find him in the 2009 Latino Men Naked calendar—with Wolf Hudson sharing the cover (click here).

We’ve got two more IML/Grabby Awards weekend wrap-ups and then I think we’re good for another year (whew!). It’s just as well because there’s not much going on right now in GayPornLand (well, there are a couple of developing stories that I can’t talk about right now…) First up is Jason Sechrest’s wrap-up, long and painfully detailed and filled with gossip and gab (click here). “On the way to The Lucky Horseshoe, Erik Rhodes said something about how sometimes he just wants to pick me up and throw me in a dumpster,” Mr. Sechrest blogs. “Blake Riley was kind enough to point one out to him so he proceeded to do so. He didn’t really throw me in though. He was just teasing, although for a quick minute it felt like high school all over again. And something about Erik Rhodes picking me up and carrying me, I have rarely ever in my life felt so safe. It was completely and utterly one of the hottest things ever. I developed a little crush on him that night…” Also, writer Chris Jensen of the SF Examiner attended IML and has a couple of brief, illuminating write-ups (click here). “I did what anyone would do when preparing to wander into a hotel full of underdressed kinksters: I practiced my Michael Lucas pout, and I imagined that I was Olivia Newton-John at the end of Grease…” [Blake Riley, Sister Roma, Chi Chi LaRue © JasonCurious.com.]

It has been less than a week since Falcon Studios parted ways with its CEO and President, Todd Montgomery (click here for our story and some background on Mr. Montgomery’s history with Falcon). And now GAYVN has snagged a post-breakup interview (click here). He tells GAYVN that he is proudest of how he “changed the corporate culture” at Falcon, which had been “fear-based. No one wanted to move forward and make decisions. We changed that to empower people and let them be themselves; let them be secure and enjoy their jobs and their lives as gay men.” Under his guidance, he claims revenues increased 70 percent since 2004, and praises Pulse Distribution and AEBN for their role in growing revenue from “a very low six figures to more than seven figures now.” For his next gig, Mr. Montgomery tells GAYVN he is exploring opportunities within and without gay adult. “While there will be endless speculation regarding my departure from Falcon,”—yeah, no kidding!—”I departed loving Falcon. As its former CEO and current shareholder and board member, I wish only continued success for the company and all its employees.” [Image © Falcon Studios.]
