It’s a big summer in the publishing world for GayPornLand habitues. Recently we’ve written about a forthcoming biography about John Holmes (click here), as well as upcoming memoirs by Bobby Blake (click here) and Blue Blake, both published by Running Press. I learned recently the same company has another book penned by another gay porn actor: Brutal: Uncut, a novel by erotica legend Aiden Shaw (click here). Brutal was first published by Millivres in 1996, but Running Press describes their edition as a “follow-up” to Mr. Shaw’s 2006 memoir My Undoing: Love in the Thick of Sex, Drugs, Pornography, and Prostitution (Carroll & Graf). The press squib on Brutal terms it a “no-holds-barred look at sexual excess. Out of control on drink and drugs, Paul seeks out men who will abuse him. He rents them his body, snorts their coke, and wakes from nightmares barely knowing what is real. Shockingly intimate, Brutal is a novel that reads like a diary.” So, yeah, some light summer reading. Aiden Shaw has certainly plumbed his life’s misery. Check out the titles of his books: Brutal. Boundaries. My Undoing. Wasted. Someone get this guy a lollipop already.

He was a stunning-looking specimen, but he never did appear to be having much fun in his chosen profession.

Probably due to his catholic-Irish upbringing!
