Ex-COLT Hunk Returns to “American Gladiators”

Alex “Militia” Castro will be among the returning warriors when American Gladiators debuts its second season tonight on NBC (click here for his bio). Curious observers had wondered whether the 6’3 hunk of bald, bulging Cuban muscle would be dumped from the show when the blogosphere caught word that he was formerly known as COLT Man Elian Cortez. That didn’t happen. And why should it? We’ve had erotic performers pop up this season on Bravo (Michael Silas on Step It Up and Dance) and CBS (Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth on Survivor: Micronesia; “Crazy” James Zinkland on Big Brother 9) and the sky didn’t fall. Mr. Castro’s flex-and-pose run for COLT was fairly brief back in 2001, but it was memorable and has been repurposed in several calendars and playing card sets. And although Militia is one hunky man-mountain, season-one winner (and new Gladiator) Evan “Rocket” Dollard has the blond, innocent good looks and mischievous twinkle in his eye that set my own crotch “rocket” blazing (yeah, I had to go there. Agreed with Will….Colt may be a porn studio, but Castro’s photos are basically artistic nudes. No big deal. I do kind of wish he’d dome some hardcore stuff just for my own interests….
