Latinboyz Hoofer Gets the Boot

Last month we wrote (click here) about Michael Silas, one of the hoofers competing on the Bravo reality-competition series Step It Up and Dance. Soon after the show began airing it was uncovered that he’d whipped it out and wanked for LatinBoyz.com. A quick update for ya: Mr. Silas was booted from the series; then, last week, when all of the eliminated dancers were given a chance to return to the competition, the remaining contestants were allowed to pick a partner from their number. No one chose hapless Michael and he was eliminated—again. Poor baby, but them’s the breaks. In a similar vein, NBC’s American Gladiators performed well enough earlier this year to earn a second series that is airing now. The returning cast included, as we wrote last week (click here), Alex “Militia” Castro, formerly COLT Man Elian Cortez. However, the second season debuted with craptastic ratings, so unless the numbers perk up a third season is looking problematic. “Please don’t judge me for what I have been through or the things that I have done, but take some time to get to know the man I’ve become now,” he blogged, and goes on to explain the photos were taken five years ago when he was new to the big city and desperate to earn some cash.
“What’s funny, well interesting, to me is how they’re painting me out to be a porn star when all I did was pose nude. Those pictures are nearly five years old, and I was in a very difficult period in my life. I was a young man with a dream, who left home and headed to Los Angeles on my own. I was staying between friends, basically living out of my car and I had little money… The money would give me the option to move into an apartment and have a little money to survive on for a while. I am not justifying what I did or saying it was right, but what I am saying is that being 21, alone in a major city, with no one to turn to financially for help, made me have to make some decisions that I may not have made otherwise.”

Why does everybody that hits the big city with no money have to pose nude or go into porn. Cruise or try a bar and if all fails try getting a ‘normal’ job full or part-time.

Hmm, interesting, he still represents latinboys.com. As a matter of fact, he was a dancing here in my home town at a club a few weeks ago. Not judging. Just saying. Must be good money in go-going (is that a word?)
