New Release Desk: “Hung Country for Young Men”

Recently I ran a delectable ass shot—plump and delicious (click here)—of new Jet Set exclusive Dylan Wood (our GPTimes webmaster keeps saying, “Dylan ‘would’ what…?”) Now here’s a look at the DVD insert for his studio debut HUNG COUNTRY FOR YOUNG MEN, which mimics the poster typeface of the Oscar-winning No Country for Old Men. Per the press release, the DVD set also includes a 15-minute “solo muscle worshipping video featuring Dylan Wood, who talks about himself and doing the movie, then shows off his impressive bodybuilder’s physique for the camera as he takes a long, lingering shower, all leading to a cum-soaked finish.” Although he’s quite hunky, I’m revved up by the prospect of costars Tommy Blade and Tyler Saint going at it hammer and tongs. As well, quite a few studios have a crush on young buck Trystian Sweet, who is turning up a lot this summer, and figures here in a threeway with fellow newcomer Kevin Cavalli and Rod Daily.

I had a chat this week with Cory Sparks and Seth Thomas, the owners of new VOD site SouthernStrokes.com. Dylan Vox is a “Homewrecker”

Press Release Roundup: Just recently Dylan Vox and I were chuckling over photos of some of his get-ups for a new acting gig, one that I haven’t been able to talk about it until now. Homewrecker is a forthcoming indie film from VanderHart Productions, written and produced by Bruce Hart and Paul VanderRoest and adapted from their stage play Naked Deception. The play was produced here in Los Angeles in 2006 and featured Mr. Vox (a/k/a Brad Benton to our Constant Readers) in the title role, which he is recreating for the film. He plays a sexalicious hunk who wreaks havoc in the lives of three gay couples. Sounds like the set-up for a porno, doesn’t it? But Homewrecker, billed as a parody of femme-centric, Perils of Pauline flicks on the Lifetime Channel, is definitely a comedy. Click here for more details…

Homoactive Challenges Maleflixxx, NakedSword

Press Release Roundup: European distributor Homoactive has announced the launch of their new “VOD portal” website Homoactive.tv, which they are billing as “the first European gay-owned and -managed gay streaming site on the market” (I’m not sure if that claim is accurate, but it sounds impressive). The portal site offers instructions on how to get yer mitts on your porn in Dutch, English, French and German, as well as options to pay for it in American dollars (ha!), the British pound or the Euro. “Despite being much longer in production than we would have wished for, we are very pleased with the final product,” says Homoactive Managing Director Stephen Thompson. “We do not intend to drown the site with any old rubbish we can get our hands on, but instead we shall do all we can do keep the quality high.” In the press release, Homoactive throws down the VOD gauntlet; Project Manager Jason Rose says that the new site “is a real challenge to the current duopoly”—that would be Maleflixxx and NakedSword—”and has been conceived from the ground-up as a high-quality and infinitely superior product,” citing “heavy investment in usability” and “groundbreakling new features.” A little competition is good for everyone. But to call it “a real challenge to the current duopoly”…? Shit, them’s fightin’ words.

Pacific Sun Launches Free Photo Gallery

Press Release Roundup: Distribution outlet Pacific Sun Entertainment has announced the launch of GayPhotoGallery.net, which offers (natch) photo galleries culled from PCE releases and links back to their GayMagix.com retail site; linkbacks to their under-construction VOD site are pending. In the press release, they note the new site is “designed primarily for the private consumer; registration is free, pending age and email verification.” GayPhotoGallery is part of PCE’s ongoing rebranding campaign (yes, we’ll be hearing that word constantly for the time being) following the departure of ex-CEO Motti Green and the sale of PCE to new owners back in January (click here). The Pacific Sun Entertainment main site (click here) has also been rejiggered into a hub of sorts as the company streamlines their various online properties.
