I have to make a correction to my previous comment. The letter Harlow Cuadra wrote proclaiming he was not gay was apparently one of his scams, so I guess he’s an exception to the gay-for-pay rule.

It does seem to be predominantly a problem with gay for pay performers but it certainly is not exclusive to them. I suspect it has alot to do with self hatred and their inner transgressions which leads to violence as a way to act out and justify to themselves they are still masculine.

T Bird – I think if you examine JCA’s Crime Blotter postings, you’ll see that most if not all concern gay-for-pay porn stars. I’ve wondered myself if any self-proclaimed gay porn stars have ever gotten in trouble with the law. (Harlow doesn’t count, he now supposedly says he’s not gay.)
