Reality Goes Erotic: “Design Star” Has a B/D Past

[Various edits 4:25 pm; 07/13, 12:10 pm.] Reality Goes Erotic: This year we’ve uncovered a rash of reality television contestants with gay erotic work on their resumes. Recently my colleagues at GayPornBlog (”HGTV Design Star’s Bondage Porn Past“) and ATKOL.com unearthed yet another discovery: Mikey Verdugo, one of the most talented, and definitely the sexiest, aspiring designers on HGTV’s Design Star, apparently filmed a B/D video for acclaimed kinkmeister Tom “Ropes” McGurk back in 1996 titled ROPE RITUALS. Mr. Verdugo, 34, used the name “Jeremy Wess” and costarred with Chris McKenzie; the film is apparently out of print and likely never made the transfer to DVD. He “serves Master Chris McKenzie while tightly bound,” reads the liner notes. “Jeremy’s ritual includes being hog-tied spread-eagled to a chair. Discipline is enforced throughout with a whip. Jeremy shoots a load when he’s allowed to service his Master’s armpits. Three more tightly bound positions follow. Again the whip and the Master’s hand brings this beauty to a rousing cum splurt. This isn’t the first time a presenter with a gay adult resume has turned up on HGTV. Marcus Iron filmed two episodes (using his own name, natch) of Curb Appeal in 2005 (click here and scroll down). Just this year, reality-TV hopefuls with erotic slots on their resume include Michael Silas of Bravo’s Step It Up and Dance (click here), Alex “Militia” Castro of NBC’s American Gladiators (click here), Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth of Survivor on CBS (click here and scroll down) and “Crazy” James Zinkland of Big Brother on CBS (click here). Whew! As for Mr. Verdugo, he’s crazy hot (cheez, he’s hardly aged in 12 years) and a terrif designer. Fingers crossed for his chances.

His was one of the only “Ropes” videos I ever watched, motivated only by his cover photo (I liked Chris too), and I thoroughly enjoyed it, to my surprise!

This is all bogus PR. I think the TV shows know about this and pretend not to so they can garner more interest in their product.

I have noticed other gay porn stars on HGTV. Patrick Ives of SX Video appeared on a episode of “Secrets That Sell” and (I think) 90’s gay porn star Dean Maxwell on an episode of House Hunters Interational. HGTV seems to love the gay porn stars. Good for them.

I think even less of him now. When one of the openly gay designers arrived in the first episode, Mikey V made fun of him as if to assert he was straight. Hopefully he’ll lose, the asshole.

I think it sucks that this site put this info out. I know these gay “media” sites feel there is a need to out everyone possible, who cares if it’s at the cost of ruining people’s lives? If HGTV gets wind of this, it’s guarenteed he’s toast. What losers you are, won’t visit back here anymore…
