[Edits 07/18/08.] Press Release Roundup: The other day it was Damien Crosse posing for the covers of a series of French erotic-historical fiction novels (click here or scroll down). Now TitanMan Alex Baresi has been immortalized in oils by Australian artist Ross Watson. The hirsute stud is depicted draped in vivid blue cloth and staring at the viewer over his left shoulder; Caravaggio‘s John the Baptist (Youth with a Ram) is in the background. As Titan’s press release notes, Caravaggio’s painting was quite a scandal erotique some 400 years ago for its depiction of lust. Mr. Watson is displayed in the National Gallery of Australia among other international venues. “Alex is one of the world’s most stunning examples of manhood. Not only is he breathtakingly handsome with a physique of a Roman god, he is also incredibly intelligent and holds a doctorate in economics,” Titan VP Keith Webb bragged to XBIZ. “He is a classic example of beauty, brains and brawn — the perfect match for Ross Watson’s work.” Limited edition prints of Untitled #01/08 (after Caravaggio, 1600; featuring Alex Baresi) are available via Mr. Watson’s website (click here), with ten percent of each purchase going towards German HIV/AIDS organization Muenchner Aids-Hilfe (per Mr. Baresi’s request).

Isn’t Keith Webb so up his own ass!?! Always trying to take credit where none is due him, what does he have to brag about? Shout out to Alex and the talented Ross Watson for an awesome piece of canvas though.

Ken- If you go to the original Xbiz article that JCA lifted the quote from…http://www.xbiz.com/news/glbt/96616 …you’ll see that Mr. Adams took it upon himself to change the words √¢‚Ǩ≈ìTitan Vice President Keith Webb told XBIZ.√¢‚Ǩ¬ù to √¢‚Ǩ≈ìbrags Titan VP Keith Webb.√¢‚Ǩ¬ù

I’m sorry if JCA cannot tell the difference between a marketing quote and bragging.

I was asked by Xbiz for an additional quote about Alex and I gave them one. That√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s my job, I√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢m the VP of marketing. The quote had nothing to do with me, it was entirely about Alex. If that’s considered “bragging” then guilty as charged!

Folks — I forgot to attribute the XBIZ quote; that oversight has been corrected. And no insult was intended or implied by my use of the word “bragged.” Let’s not always assume the worst of each other.

    Regards,
    JCA

I’ve always been fond of Alex. He was always nice to me. I’m happy for him.

Why the hell shouldn’t Keith Webb “brag” about one of his company’s models? That’s part of his job. Ken, lighten up.

  6. In Print: Ridgeston, Corbin Fisher in ‘DNA’ | The Adams Report by JC Adams on July 27, 2011 5:01 am

[...] In Print: Australia’s porn-friendly DNA Magazine features a few of our boys in its latest issue (no. 139). Acclaimed artist Ross Watson took advantage of the presence of erotica legend Lukas Ridgeston when he recently accompanied the Bel Ami boys Down Under. Seen, at left, is the result of Mr. Ridgeston’s session; also sitting for a session were Kris Evans and Dolph Lambert. “They were all very considerate and professional—and really excited, as this is the first time they’ve been painted,” Mr. Watson told the mag. Constant Readers with long memories will recall Ross Watson also painted pornster Alex Baresi back in ’08 (see the link below). In the same issue, several lickable Corbin Fisher hotties—such as Conner and Dawson—are featured in a wrestling-themed fashion spread. CLICK HERE for DNA‘s website.
