RIP: Performer Cole Ryder

[Updated: 10:55am.] Gay Porn Times confirmed this morning that performer Cole Ryder has died. A cause of death has not been officially determined. Mature and muscular, Mr. Ryder, 36, appeared on the scene, virtually a fully formed star, as a Rascal Video exclusive in 2006 with LEATHER SESSIONS, for which he was given the cover, and went on to film BLACK MEAT, WHITE HEAT; DEPRAVED; LINK: THE EVOLUTION; SIZED UP and WHEN BEARS ATTACK for Channel 1 Releasing, as well as DADDY’S BOYS and RUSH for Unzipped Video. Upon leaving Rascal, he shot, most recently, CRUISIN’ GROUNDS for Mustang Studios. “He loved, loved, loved being in this industry,” Rascal’s Chi Chi LaRue told me this morning. “He was a happy-go-lucky guy who loved talking to fans and being recognized and the idea of guys getting off to him. He loved being on the cover of magazines. He just really enjoyed being a star; he was made for it. When he would dance and do personal appearances, he would always tell me his favorite part was mingling with the fans and having them put their hands all over him afterwards. He thought that was just the best thing ever. I’ll really miss him.” Fleshbot notes Mr. Ryder’s Myspace top-message (CLICK HERE, and turn down your speakers) has been altered to read, “Cole Ryder has left the building. Cole was a beautiful guy who loved dogs and friendly to those who approached him.A class act,he left the earth peacefully.I guess you can say he got his wings.My condolences go out to his partner,family and friends.
I’m terribly saddened to read this. I never met Mr. Ryder, but I enjoyed his performances very much indeed, and found him extremely appealing. and that bull-like bellowing he unleashed when cumming: what a tremendous turn-on that was. This is miserable news indeed.

I remember when Cole was in Unzipped and in the interview promoting ‘leather sessions’ he came off as so real and so down to earth and with a heart of gold I was really impressed. In all his movies I always looked forward to seeing him on screen, he was such a good looking man despite the obvious features.
Too many gay porn stars are going way before their time and thats sad.
Sad news. My condolences to his family and friends. I’d seen him in person a few times in West Hollywood, but never approached to say anything. Judging from Chi Chi LaRue’s comment to JC, he would have had no problem with it. I regret not doing so. RIP, Cole.

ADULT FILM STAR, COLE RYDER, DIES
LONG BEACH, CA, JULY 30, 2008:
Cole Ryder passed away of natural causes at his home in Long Beach, California, shortly past 8 am on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008, at the age of 36. Cole passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by friends.
Cole was signed as an exclusive to Rascal Video in 2006 starting the trend of more masculine, rugged studio exclusives. His career was short, but prolific. He appeared in nine films over the course of two years, with two films still in post production.
Cole touched many people’s lives personally and professionally. He was always the first to greet anyone with a big smile and warm embrace. He listened and spoke with his heart.
Cole was active and passionate about animals and HIV education, prevention and fundraising. In June, 2008, Cole was the Honorary Trail Guide for Saddle Up LA, a benefit fundraiser for The Life Group LA of which he was very proud to be a part.
Cole would without a doubt appreciate a donation, large or small, to The Life Group LA (www.lifegroupla.org) with which he felt a close connection and affiliation. Funds donated in his name will launch a support program for emergency veterinary care for the pets of HIV+ men and woman.
The coroner’s first impression is that the immediate cause of Cole’s death was congestive heart failure. Preliminary tissue studies showed Cole suffered from severe, hereditary, arteriosclerosis, a hardening of the blood vessels, which can lead to heart attack, stroke or aneurysm. Final autopsy results are pending.
Family and friends wish to thank everyone for their sympathy and support.

It’s always “natural causes”. Something is always hidden with the deaths of porn stars. Somtehing the industry is hiding.
