Crime Blotter: Paper Deconstructs Cuadra, Kerekes Alibis
August 4, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Crime Blotter: A lengthy story in today’s Citizen’s Voice newspaper spells out the potential alibis of Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes√¢‚Ǩ‚Äùboth of whom stand accused of murdering Cobra Video producer Bryan Kocis√¢‚Ǩ‚Äùand then systemically lays out prosecutorial evidence deconstructing those alibis. It is a damning story (CLICK HERE: “Accused Killers’ Words, Actions Tie Them to Kocis Murder” by Michael R. Sisak). Mr. Cuadra, 26, and Mr. Kerekes, 34, are set to stand trial beginning September 2. They face the death penalty. “In actions and conversations, they tried independently and jointly to create fail-safe alibis and failed at every turn, foiled by prosecution evidence, technology and logic,” today’s story notes. “Ultimately, barring a plea agreement, a case dismissal or the defendants√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ demise, a jury will decide whether Cuadra and Kerekes are guilty or innocent. For now, the question remains, what of their mutual and mutually exclusive defenses is fact and what is fiction.” Luzerne County, Pennsylvania Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. is expected to rule on a variety of pre-trial motions by August 12, including a request for separate trials. Click here for more details…
Last week, Mr. Kerekes’ attorneys filed notice of a potential alibi stating that “he was in Room 211 of the Fox Ridge Motel in Plains Township at the time of Kocis’ killing,” and that he and Mr. Cuadra were not together at the motel. However, “Cuadra and Kerekes shared vivid details about Kocis√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ killing in conversations recorded by investigators in San Diego in April 2007.”
One of those conversation was recorded by Grant Roy, “a former suspect turned informant” and the lover and business partner of Sean “Brent Corrigan” Lockhart, who had settled a lawsuit with Bryan Kocis over use of the “Brent Corrigan” name just a few days before Kocis was murdered. “Roy asked Cuadra and Kerekes if Kocis felt any pain as he was being killed. After a few moments of silence, Cuadra leaned toward Lockhart and said quietly, ‘Don√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t worry, he went quick.’ Cuadra offered more details the next day, as he walked with Kerekes, Roy and Lockhart along a nude beach in the La Jolla section of San Diego.” That conversation was recorded by Mr. Roy with “a recording device hidden in a car key remote.”

It might help to keep in mind that it took the above mentioned newspaper SEVEN YEARS to look into the financial ties between two Luzerne County Judges and the owner of a privately owned Juvenile Detention Facility.
The newspaper you quote is not exactly world famous for expert investigative journalism.
The fact that Liberace WON a defamation lawsuit against a newspaper that reported Liberace was gay should give you an idea of how difficult it can be sometimes to PROVE THE OBVIOUS.
1. It is literally impossible logically, logistically and every other way for anyone to distinquish between what was done by Joseph Kerekes and what was done by Harlow Cuadra. Even the postings on the net from “Boybatter” clearly had “more than one author”. In separate trials, Cuadra blaming Kerekes and Kerekes blaiming Cuadra should result in them both being found innocent before an impartial jury – a classic defense move when there is more than one defendant.
2. Based on never ending propaganda out of Luzerne County, Luzerne County prosecutors also appear to be CONCERNED that they can’t actually prove when Bryan Kocis was killed. Specifically, look at the article you quote and tell me: ( a ) where does it say the coroner proved that Kocis was killed on 1/24/07; ( b ) where is it indicated that anyone actually saw Kocis alive on 1/24/07; and ( c ) who does the article say last saw Kocis alive and when did they see Kocis alive?
When there is a burned or frozen corpose, the time the victim was last seen alive becomes RATHER IMPORTANT because, generally, it can be impossible to scientifically determine time of death from a frozen or burned corpse.
MOST WORTH NOTING: the same dumbass prosecutors trying to convict Cuadra and Kerekes COULDN’T get a murder conviction against a man found with FOUR DEAD BODIES buried in his front yard.
Demetrius Fannick, the lawyer trying to represent Cuadra, managed to get A DEFENDANT found guilty only of “abuse of a corpse” when the guy had four dead bodied buried in his front yard, which is pretty fucking funny.
Of course, the above should explain why Prosecutors keep trying to get rid of Cuadra’s and Kerekes’ lawyers. Luzerne County Prosecutors are accustomed to getting convictions against children who don’t have lawyers.
Whether Cuadra and Kerekes killed Kocis or not, it doesn’t sanction that corrupt little fucking County holding a murder trial for them.
In a sane world, the US Justice Department will shut down that little shit county before it can hold any more criminal trials for anyone.
Regarding the first point, Pennsylvania law makes them both equally culpable if they conspired.
As to the second point, this is is from a Homicide Investigation Action Report, as posted today in the blog Harlow and Joe…On Trial by PC:
LAST KNOWN LOCATION SEEN: Victim was last confirmed to be seen on 01/24/07 at approx 1405 hrs as he picked up a “to go” order at “Really Cookin” café, Dallas, Pa.. Victim was seen by one George F. CREEL, proprietor of same. Additionally, victim was engaged in telephone conversations with several individuals in the early evening hours on 01/24/07.

Peter Everhard,
You are not at a loss for words are you?
Peter, Oh Peter??
LOL!
And, there is the continuing issue of Prosecution witnesses who can fix when Bryan Kocis was last seen alive. So far, we have NOTHING in the press from people who knew Bryan Kocis well (and who knew what Kocis looked like around 1/20/07) about when Kocis was last seen alive.
Based on everything coming out of Luzerne County, it appears that Luzerne County Prosecutors don’t have any witnesses who can testify convincingly under penalty of perjury that they saw Bryan Kocis was alive on 1/24/07
Guess he Peter dismissed the article cause it don’t fit with his views!
THIS JUST IN …
Big Foot is willing to testify for the Prosecution that he saw Bryan Kocis alive on 1/24/07
http://www.tempcity.com/bitchless/index.php?showtopic=29135
Would someone please post a transcript of the deposition of George Creel and highlight for me where Creel testifies under penality of perjury that he saw Bryan Kocis on 1/24/07?
I can’t seem to find any reference to Creel testifying at any hearings.
I still say that Big Foot is the most credible witness.
Peter, leave the fiction writing to the professionals. Stick to opining about the greatness of 80s VHS porn.
And why would Mr. Creel, a favorite restaraunt owner of Mr. Kocis, lie to police about seeing him that day? Is he part of the vaaaast Luzerne County conspiracy as well?
(snicker!)
Did the coroner find “Really Cookin” sauce in Kocis’ stomach?
Did Really Cooking take-out containers survive the fire?
Did Harlow Pee Really Cookin sauce the next day?
Can Really Cookin sauce be used a spermicide?
I’m just saying …
If you order Really Cookin Lobster in San Diego, shove it up Kocis’ ass, kill Kocis, freeze the body, fly the body first class to Luzerne County and then set the body on fire, wouldn’t the autospy report Really Cookin Lobster as Kocis’ last meal?

Peter, Occam’s Razor isn’t a brand of shaver.
If the coroner could trace Kocis’ last meal to a restaurant in Luzerne County, I wonder why that dumb fuck coroner testified he didn’t know when Kocis was killed? All that idiot Coroner had to do was take Kocis’ stomach contents to the restaurant and have the owner of the restaurant ID the contents. Seems so simple to me.
You’re not really paying attention today, are you Peter?
The restaranteur saw Kocis at his restaurant, at 2:05pm, in Luzerne County. Alive. And buying food.
He was a well-known customer of that restaraunt.
Oh my this is fun!
“Really Cookin’ sauce”
Peter,
Curious?
Do you think that you are a clever writer??
or funny in any way?
Just wondering?
