In Print: “Unzipped” Examines Gay Porn “Bad Boys”

[Slight edits 08/11/08.] This morning Unzipped Monthly sent over the cover of their September 2008 issue for our Constant Readers. It features a long, dishy article by Sean Carnage titled “The Bad Boys” that explores what I’ve cheekily termed the Gay Porn Crime Wave©—the recent criminal activities of Marcus Allen, Cody Cash, Harlow Cuadra, Mark Dalton and Nickolay Petrov, as well as “gay porn twins” Keyon and Teyon, Tommy Saxx and Andrew Justice, who talks for the first time about his recent stint in a prison boot camp and why his case set a new legal precedent. The mag’s cover stud is Sebastian Young, who is working a new, sleeker look and was photo’ed last month for CockyBoys. He talks briefly to Unzipped about his troubles with the State of Florida (CLICK HERE for background). For the record, he disputes the details of the story and asserts he is working things out with a lawyer.

    In all fairness most of those guys mentioned are gay for pay. The only gay ones seem to be Harlow Cuadra and bisexual Andrew Justice and Tommy Saxx, whose brush with the law was some time ago and a bit long in the tooth for this article.

    We live in violent times, & young men with all their testosterone do get caught up in it. Why should the gay porn industry be exempt?

    Maybe background checks need to be done on all the guys to avoid legal issues down the road.

    Just as the Adult industry is becoming recognized by a younger crowd as legitimate we get an old school salacious taste of the seedy shadow world of porn. I’m both amused and reticent. Jailed porn actors and killers may be interesting on some level, but there is exploitation coming from both sides, and in many cases coming to a gruesome finish. No one who is dead or sitting in jail is laughing. Are we taking our jaded industry perspective past the point of our where our better angels dare to tread?
