Another tired “Cowboy” movie. Nobody can compare to the Buckleroos movie from Rutherford and Douglas. Blood? Branding? How very Titan – What next? Copycats.

Surprise! The first to comment is a negative Nancy! Talk about a lack of originality…

I strongly disagree.
Makes me sorry I had to sit this one out. You can never really judge a film from stills, but these are pretty FANTASTIC. Certainly something above and beyond the norm for porn. No doubt the movie is going to be something to watch.

Buckleroos was a great film, one of my favorites… but that was a 2004 release. Knowing the plot and the tone of this film they wont have much in common other than they are cowboy movies…

It’s more than showing support for the studio… as an artist I am really impressed. Something truly different for Stallion. Can’t wait to see the finished product.

Anyway, this is my opinion and it may not agree with yours, but it’s mine. Buckleros was a fantastic movie and I think I’m not the only one to think that way.

Now, in regard to these “erotic” images – NOT! Like Gary says, bullets in the head, blood? I don’t know if maybe the powers that be in the porn world are just bored or totally out of touch with what erotica is, but this certainly ain’t it from a Midwestern man such as myself.

And yeah it looks like a violent film, probably not for everyone.
If I know my studio the violence will be in the segments between the sex scenes. We call that “b-role”. Not everyone watches these scenes anyway…

Who knows, it may suck, but at least they’re TRYING to do something different. God, if they had just churned out more of the same people would bitch about that, too. Let’s at least see if all the effort is worthwhile.

Yes Will there is a certain amount of ego stroking involved in a mega production. Hollywood is the source for that!

The vast majority of porn consumers could care less if the budget was 10,000 or 200,000 they just want to get off!

The Porn connaisseur on the other hand is interested and we are really the only people still BUYING porn.

If you want to get off for free there is always XTube et al.

We have only seen 3 stills and people are already calling it a ‘tired’ cowboy movie ?
The best thing about porn besides the hot hot men is that there is usually something there for everyone. Sometimes I like a little story telling with my porn ala Jett Blakk and then again sometimes I want pure out and out sex.

I personally think that Raging Stallion’s models are ugly and they go along with violence, blood and sweaty, hairy men. Yuck! Steve, this is my opinion. Negative or whatever you want to call it. A remake of “Cruising” is a great idea, DeWayne! I bet the only reason it hasn’t been done is that the rights are too expensive.

Since there are a few “negative” responses: I would like to see less artsy stuff (strange tilted camera angles, dark scenes…half the toys are black now and you can’t see them being used.) And turn down the sound on the soundtrack, it drowns out the moans and words the guys are saying. The music is fine if not so pronounced. And shorter scenes. We often see guys humping and bumping for a half hour acting like they are about to cum any second, yet it takes a half hour. Videos could be half as long and still be good. All the extras make it have to be put on a second disc and you tend to get out of the mood having to get up ad change the disc. And why do they have to have a dozen guys in them? Six would be plenty. It gets too confusisng (to me) seeing all the guys.

What I WOULD love to see is a disc of Steve just jacking off, fucking himself with toys, and pissing. No glitz, no glamor. Plain and simple porn.

I spent some time talking to Jake Deckard after the Dore Alley Fair about “To the Last Man”. From what he told me, to call this a cowboy movie is rather simplistic; it sounded more like a western “Romeo and Juliet” that mixed the standard western fare with a tragedy, just as West Side Story was a combination of R&J and a big city gang play/movie. Carrying the R&J plot to the extreme, only one person is left alive by the end.

What would I like to see?

1. Show the actual putting on the condom in an erotic way. (Example, rolling it on as part of the blow job.)

2. Porn performers like to be referred to as actors (and some of them are VERY GOOD actors; see Jake in the last scene of the Grunts trilogy.) OK, act. Even if you hate the guy’s guts, at least act like there is some kind of interpersonal relationship going on, not just a dick being shoved into a mouth or an ass: I can see that in candid videos from Dore Alley Fair, Folsom Street Fair, and Southern Decadence. One of the things that made Buckleroos so great was the interaction going on throughout the movie between Dean and Marcus’ characters, culminating in their scene together. Marcus seduced the missionaries, and Owen seduced his football player. They acted.

As an addendum, it doesn’t have to be a romantic love scene, although I enjoyed the final scene in “Unknown” for that reason. One of the hottest scenes I have ever seen was the basis for shooting the video “Brothers Should Do It”. J.W. King was in the Catalina offices when Jon King came by to interview. One look at each other, and they couldn’t turn the cameras on fast enough. The two stars went their separate ways after that spontaneous scene was shot (although they did shoot several other scenes together later), but in that brief moment there was a definite connection between the two.

What I’d like to see in porn:
1) This may sound weird – but it might be interesting to have a movie where everyone doesn’t have sex with everyone! How about having a delivery man come to the door, deliver a package, and then leave, leaving our “hero” frustrated.
2) Real athletes playing a sport (like a basketball team), sweating and going to the shower and getting dressed – not everyone has to have sex with everyone (because that doesn’t happen in real life), but “the gay one” could give a 3 minute blowjob to “the straight one” in the parking lot.
3) Sex scenes that last no more than 10 minutes (I read an article that said the average length of time a pay-per-view adult movie was watched in a hotel room was …. six minutes.) I’m not sure who these guys in movies are supposed to represent – but what ever happened to a 5 minute quickie in a closet at work? Those scenes last 25 minutes nowadays. My friend Gidget used to call those long scenes “sewing machine scenes” – because when you fast forwarded through them, all he could think of was a sewing machine bobbing up and down.
