The Biz: Metro Launches All-Male Badlands Pictures

The debut title under the Badlands Pictures banner is BOYS OF BADLANDS, an all-male feature shot on location in the Czech Republic. Sneak Peek: Ricky Sinz & “To the Last Man”

We’ve written a few times recently about Raging Stallion’s upcoming epic TO THE LAST MAN, which streets in November. Here’s a look at the DVD insert featuring Scott Tanner and Ricky Sinz as the respective heads of rival gangs of horned-up cowpokes. The studio has also officially announced Mr. Sinz as their “Man of the Year” for 2009, which we told you about over the weekend. “This is really amazing. I never thought I would come so far so fast. I really appreciate the faith that Chris Ward has in my career,” Mr. Sinz sez in the press release. “After his performance in TO THE LAST MAN, the choice of Ricky for our top prize was pretty easy — he delivered the best porn performance of any actor I have ever witnessed,” Mr. Ward said. “He is a good man and we all look forward to working with him over the next year.”

18 West Studios Sues PacSun for Fraud

[Edits 2:57pm.] 18 West Studios, a subsidiary company of
Media Resources Communications (MRC) that operates BoyFunk.com and CuteBoyVideos.com, among others, filed suit Friday in the North Valley District of Los Angeles Superior Court against distributor Pacific Sun Entertainment alleging falsified sales figures. They are seeking more than $22,000 in damages. MRC attorney Chad Belville said the alleged fraud occurred in 2006. At that time, Pacific Sun was under different management. Current manager Pritam Sinha began work for PacSun earlier this year. “Our response, according to our books and the previous owner, is that we don’t owe them anything,” he said. The lawsuit alleges PacSun “claimed to have returned units at the domestic rate that were ordered at the lower international rate in number that could not have occurred, shorting [MRC] by thousands of dollars.” Further, discrepancies were discovered between the number of units the distributor claimed to have received, the number they returned to BoyFunk, and “the mix of units sent to various retail outlets.” A PacSun employee allegedly told MRC “lots of records seem to have been deleted” by the company’s previous owner. Ricky Sinz Named RSS Man of the Year

Cheers to Ricky Sinz, newly crowned Raging Stallion Lifetime Exclusive, for also being named the 2009 Raging Stallion Man of the Year. RSS honcho Chris Ward gave me the scoop but I was sworn to secrecy until the announcement was made yesterday at a Folsom Street Fest pre-party. He takes the crown from Steve Cruz and Roman Ragazzi, who shared the honor for 2008. Mr. Sinz had a good year; he snagged multiple GAYVN and Grabby Awards for his work in GRUNTS, and just wrapped a leading role in TO THE LAST MAN.
