NYmag.com’s The Cut: “…Speaking of arousals, we have it on good authority that one of the faces near us in the front row belonged to Michael Lucas, arguably the Tyler Perry of the gay-porn world because of how his name appears ahead of every film title. (We promise we did not know that offhand, Mom.) We were tickled to see him sitting innocently just a stone’s throw from actress Ellen Pompeo and hubby Chris Ivery. If the show changes its name to Ellen Pompeo’s Grey’s Anatomy, we’ll know they bumped into each other long enough for him to impart some valuable career counseling.”

Im so sick of Michael Lucas can you please start doing the gossip part about Michael instead of being his PR machine??
I’m a little OD’ed on him, too, but there ain’t any other porno stars sitting next to whatshername on the front row of some designer’s show. And a mainstream mag decided he was noteworthy enough to mention. I saw him once at a gallery opening, this was last year, and people were whispering that a celeb had shown up. He’s genuinely famous in that New York circle.
You see, the thing is Michael thrives on the attention and publicity, good or bad, and negative comments like these are fine with him, as long as you spell his name right!
About the haters, should JC NOT write about him anymore just becasuse he makes more of an effort to get publicity? I think it’s interesting that a gay porn actor is sitting, front row, at Fashion Week. I’d think it was interesting if it was Chi Chi La Rue or Erik Rhodes or Ken Ryker, for that matter.
