[Editor's note: Gay Porn Times has recently signed a deal to provide LGBT content to industry publication XBIZ.] Gay adult studio and popular pro/am website CorbinFisher.com has announced they will offer to their exclusive performers full health benefits, 401(k) plans and tuition reimbursement, in addition to their pay rates. The health benefits include full medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. ‚ÄúIn this particular election year, there has been a great deal of attention paid to health care and how difficult it can be for employees to get it,‚Äù CorbinFisher VP of Operations Brian Dunlap told XBIZ. ‚ÄúThat is what originally brought this plan to mind, and made us think of what a valuable offering it could be to our models. Many would not otherwise have health insurance were it not for our providing it…” CLICK HERE for the full story at XBIZ!

I am so impressed by this. This is just fantastic. Responsible companies are something you can really beat off to.

Great, but lol @ tuition reimbursement, when you’ve done porn an probably will find it hard to get or keep a main stream job after graduating..but i nice offer nonetheless!

Of course it’s not a completely altruistic gesture — they get to hold on to their “exclusives” a little more securely this way — but I hope this pressures other studios and websites to be more equitable to their models.

Of course Will any buisness that offers Health Insurance (not required in America) is simply using it as a tool to retain and keep employees happy.

This does illustrate why our present outdated employer provided health ins model needs updating.

Most workers in this age group will have multiple employers in their lifetime. Health coverage needs to be as portable and transferable as those 401k’s.

One other note offering Health coverage to the talent also increases the size of the health coverage pool at Corbin Fisher and that lowers costs all around. Especially since they have a young healthy workforce!

well i dont think adding 2 dozen new people to your company’s health plan would “lower costs all around”. it’s 2 dozen new people you’re paying premiums for. it will lower the per capita premiums, but the gross amount paid out will still be much higher than it was before.

if you can think of any health insurance company where that would be different, let me know. because i would tell my boos to switch over to them and score me some brownie points. lol.

but anyways, i think what they’re doing is great. i never heard of a single other company offering that. but almost every company out there keeps advertising the “exclusive exclusive exclusive!!!” thing over and over again. so, companies are signing models exclusive left and right and all over the place quite easily. i bet most models just think about the immediate cash more than anything else. but corbinfisher has decided to do something they didn’t have to do and offer their models something really nice. i think it’s real admirable. congrats to them!

What is the life of an exclusive dude in porn..but a few years?…after all this is a business where new faces rule the day…but i’m sure the models will like it!

Pity they could not offer shares in the company as well!

They must be doing pretty damn well to offer these kind of benefits, plus a dozen full-time employees. Good for them. Maybe this will shame other companies into doing the same??

I’m shocked more gay porn companies don’t even offer this. Maybe I shouldn’t be, but after reading your other story about what porn stars really make, shit, these guys are getting royally screwed, and not the fun way, either.

This is great news. Who will be next?

Great offer and i hope it works. How much of the insurance premium are they paying? Or are they offering it as a group policy and the performers are paying a majority of the premium? Does this mean they are also paying workers compensation insurance as well? they must as that is required.
What becomes an issue is models do not stay in the industry very long, most just do a few videos and are gone.
And to the comments by Jarac. Do you really beleive that just because someone has done porn they can not or will not be able to get a job in mainstream society? LOL get real.. the only thing it will limit you from is politics and they are all criminals anyway.

Maybe you should ask Sylvester Stalone or Simon Rex.. they both started in porn.
