Now that singer Clay Aiken is having his “Yep, I’m gay” moment ‚Äî shocking, I tell you! Shocking! ‚Äî Constant Readers with a long memory might be wondering about the disposition of John Paulus. Back in early 2006, Mr. Paulus was the former Green Beret and real estate agent who kicked off his fifteen minutes by claiming to the National Enquirer, Page Six and Howard Stern that he’d had bareback sex with Mr. Aiken. In the heat of controversy, Lucas Entertainment snagged Mr. Paulus as an exclusive performer. He claimed he’d been harassed out of his real estate job by outraged Claymates who’d engaged in a systematic campaign to destroy his life. He filmed just one adult movie ‚Äî a duo with Wilson Vasquez that appeared in MICHAEL LUCAS’ AUDITIONS 8: SCANDALOUS. For awhile, Mr. Paulus took on the Claymates with a blog titled “Clay Aiken 411” and even posted a photo of ‚Äî ahem ‚Äî a DNA-encrusted washcloth Mr. Aiken allegedly used following their tryst. By early summer, five months after the story broke, he’d had enough and issued a public apology to the singer and announced plans to withdraw from the world. But as early as this month, he was still debating whether to give interviews and take part in various Aiken documentaries. Given the press attention Mr. Aiken is receiving this week, I wondered if Mr. Paulus had anything to say. He does. CLICK HERE for his statement…

On Tuesday (September 23), he wrote (CLICK HERE):

“Some have called or emailed me asking if I feel vindicated. For me, this isn’t about vindication. The days of me seeking such have past. This is about Clay Aiken and what this means for him. Today, Clay Aiken has just had that 10 ton weight lifted from his shoulders. He doesn’t have to hide or live in fear of anyone knowing his secret. He can be happy living openly and honestly and for me this is what’s most important.

“I hope that Clay fans will forgive Clay and accept him. I hope that they will continue to stand by him and not judge him- not just because of his sexuality, but for not admitting to it. Forgiveness is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. I hope that his fans will use that gift to forgive him and to support him.”

And then yesterday, Mr. Paulus announced he will shut down his Aiken blog:

“More than two and a half years ago, I began this blog as a means of defending myself against those who have besmirched, lied, ridiculed, and harassed me. From those, I seek no apology as I have long forgiven them.

“Today, one might think that I would be celebrating the pain of those who have hurt me. One would be wrong to think such. There is no joy or celebration that rests in my soul. I hurt for each of them as I know their pain. I have only compassion and forgiveness for them. I understand why some have done what they have and never have I harbored any hate in my heart even in the most difficult of times. Life is about forgiveness and I pray that you will one day find it within yourselves to forgive each other.

“Now is the time for me to move on and follow the path to greater things. My journey with you is over and at 11:59 pm on Friday I will once and for all close my Clay Aiken blogs.

“Words will never express how grateful I am to those who have stood by and supported me through these trying years. I will forever be indebted to you and will never forget all that you have done for me. To those I have hurt, I apologize to each of you from the bottom of my heart.

“Be strong and may truth be its foundation.”

His posting about Aiken’s People cover had one of the longest comment threads I’ve ever seen. Who knew he had that many readers?

Good for him for trying to take the high road, I guess…

Some of those Claymates were fucking vicious, although let’s be honest and say that Paulus was a bit weird himself, so it’s interesting, if boring, that he’s being so restrained about his vindication.

God Bless America for making someone famous for fucking a celebrity and nothing more. God, I love this country.

Anonymous 1:20 pm, running to the National Enquirer about an alleged sexual encounter he had with someone from a lame reality show is not what I call ‚Äútaking the high road‚Äù. And I use the word ‚Äúalleged‚Äù because I‚Äôve always believed John Paulus was lying about a couple of facts. I’m not a Clay Aiken fan, but I read a lot about this story a couple of years ago. If he really wanted to take the high road, he never would‚Äôve made this situation public, nor would he have devoted an entire blog to Clay. Stalker much? Not to mention keeping a nasty cum rag of his. That‚Äôs just gross. I don‚Äôt understand why some people portray John as some sort of victim. He‚Äôs nothing but a mentally unstable individual who decided to obtain popularity by revealing that he slept with a famous person.

rabbit – I agree with everything you just posted, except for one point: American Idol is NOT a lame reality show! It is my reason for living.

    ARCHIE RULES!!!

The whole of my interest in Clay Aikin could be placed in the nucleus of an atom, and still leave enough room for the Empire State Building, but this guy is as smarmy a slice of self-promoting sleazey cheese as I’ve ever seen. Polite people do not promote themselves by outing other people and making hay out of kissing-and-telling. And now these smarmy, holier-than-thou, I’ve-forgiven-them-all crapola statements stink like a one-week corpse.

This guy deserves no attention, since attention is what he was after all along.

If you haven’t seen John Paulus’ interview and sex scene for Lucas, it’s worth checking out. He seems really distressed when talking about how Clay manhandled him, kept trying to stuff his cock up his ass without a condom, and then fled the hotel room as fast as he could.

He looks even more disappointed when Lucas decides not to fuck him and instead turns over the duties to Wilson Vasquez who seems a little shy and not exactly thrilled to be having Clay Aiken’s sloppy seconds.

couldn’t care less both he and Vasquez are very poor performers

Really? He had a blog about it? Seriously? How bored and desperate for attention is this man? Who cares if Clay Aiken is gay? I don’t. He ugly and a bad singer. Seriously, people need to start re-evaluating their priorities.
