Sneak Peek: COLT’s “Inside Out”

Sneak Peek Redux: Last month I ran a couple of sneak-peek photos from the set of COLT Studio‘s upcoming INSIDE OUT, directed by John Rutherford. One of those snaps was of tanned daddybear Tom Chase flashing his high-and-tight buns to the camera. Yum… Anyway, those pics were popular so here’s a look at the DVD cover of INSIDE OUT featuring costar Eric Valentin. It streets in week or three. He certainly boasts a lickably alluring physique, even though his body language is a touch off-putting. Fellow performers include Mitch Branson, Luke Garrett, Darin Hawk, Ricky Parks and Jasper Van Dean, with Sky Thompson mounting a comeback after nearly a decade offscreen (his last performances were in 1999). The sexfest was shot in Northern California’s wine country and involves the fuckbeds placed outdoors, thus the title. Mr. Rutherford told me Messrs. John Paulus to Close Clay Aiken Blog

Now that singer Clay Aiken is having his “Yep, I’m gay” moment ‚Äî shocking, I tell you! Shocking! ‚Äî Constant Readers with a long memory might be wondering about the disposition of John Paulus. Back in early 2006, Mr. Paulus was the former Green Beret and real estate agent who kicked off his fifteen minutes by claiming to the National Enquirer, Page Six and Howard Stern that he’d had bareback sex with Mr. Aiken. In the heat of controversy, Lucas Entertainment snagged Mr. Paulus as an exclusive performer. He claimed he’d been harassed out of his real estate job by outraged Claymates who’d engaged in a systematic campaign to destroy his life. He filmed just one adult movie ‚Äî a duo with Wilson Vasquez that appeared in MICHAEL LUCAS’ AUDITIONS 8: SCANDALOUS. For awhile, Mr. Paulus took on the Claymates with a blog titled “Clay Aiken 411” and even posted a photo of ‚Äî ahem ‚Äî a DNA-encrusted washcloth Mr. Aiken allegedly used following their tryst. By early summer, five months after the story broke, he’d had enough and issued a public apology to the singer and announced plans to withdraw from the world. But as early as this month, he was still debating whether to give interviews and take part in various Aiken documentaries. Falcon Studios Acquires Massive Studio

Gay Porn Times has confirmed that Falcon Entertainment has acquired Massive Studio, the boutique label founded in 2003 by director John Bruno. It is the latest episode in gay adult’s ongoing consolidation. The studio told me Massive’s catalog (14 films) and website are now under the Falcon umbrella, joining the Falcon Studios, Jocks Studios, Mustang Studios and Falcon International labels. “John has developed a strong brand that will perfectly compliment our other studios,” company Director of Promotions Troy Prickett told me yesterday. “Massive will become an important part of Falcon Entertainment’s move to having strong online properties.” CLICK HERE for more details…

Brit Artist Sculpts Buck Angel in Marble

Recently, TitanMan Alex Baresi was immortalized in oils by artist Ross Watson, and Damien Crosse posed for the covers of a series of French-language erotic-historical novels. Now popular trans performer Buck Angel will have his countenance sculpted in marble by London artist Marc Quinn. “Working with Marc Quinn is one of the most extraordinary experiences of my career,” Mr. Angel told XBIZ. “I feel so honored to have someone of Marc’s caliber look at me as the subject for a piece of art. Because I am ‘the man with a pussy’ and a porn star, this sculpture will push boundaries all over the world.” As XBIZ notes, Mr. Quinn “burst onto the art scene in the late ‚Äò80s in an exhibition called Freeze, for which he created a frozen self-portrait made from a mold of his own head and using nearly 10 pints of his own blood for material. The artist is noted for his sculptures of subjects with amputated limbs or other physical disabilities.” His sculpture of Mr. Angel will debut in 2009 and “the statue will have his trademark cigar hanging from his mouth and will be partially nude, revealing his genitalia.” It’s been quite a year for Buck Angel; author Armistead Maupin name-checked him in his recent novel Michael Tolliver Lives.

Mustang’s “Blue Movie” Busted?

News began circulating last night that BLUE MOVIE, the directorial debut of Steve Cruz for Mustang Studios, had been shut down by the LAPD Vice Squad. Apparently an anonymous tipster told the fuzz that a porn crew was shooting without a permit. “The shoot, which took place in a nondescript warehouse in Northridge, began filming on Sunday,” writes TheSword.com. “Cruz was in the middle of shooting a sex scene between Dillon Buck and newcomer Colton Steele when several police officers entered and demanded to see a film permit. The production was shut down entirely costing thousands of dollars in lost wages and fines. The filming will be moved to San Francisco and resume later this week.” Troy Prickett, Falcon’s Director of Promotion, found the whole thing suspicious. “Studios shoot on this set every week without problems,” he said. “I hate to sound over-dramatic, but this was an inside job.” On his own blog, Mr. Cruz was indefatigable. “I look forward to filming under more favorable conditions,” he said. Porn Continues Crossover into Film, TV

The skin biz continues its inexorable infiltration of mainstream entertainment (although what’s mainstream anymore?) with two upcoming film and television projects. First on the docket is Spike TV‘s James Gunn’s PG Porn. The TV show will spoof straight adult films by pairing male actors such as Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville) and Nathan Fillion (Serenity, Desperate Housewives) with adult actresses ‚Äî but without the sex. It debuts October 8 on the basic cable channel for straight guys. What do you think? A gay version could be fun, I guess. But parodying bad porn acting and silly scenarios is kind of a cliche by now, right? In the meantime, production begins October 20 on Middle Men starring Giovanni Ribisi and Luke Wilson, from a script by George Gallo, who also directs. It’s about a straight-laced businessman who founds the first online billing company catering to the porn business and, per the press release, “finds himself in the middle of a whirlwind filled with starlets, con men, Russian mobsters, federal agents and international terrorists ‚Äî all while trying to hold onto his marriage and family.” Okay, now, stop laughing! Stop it! Yeah, yeah, the adult biz is just crazy with international terrorists in between picking up used condoms and dealing with credit card returns. Hey, it’s a movie. They need to whip up some drama, right? Middle Men is being produced by Oxymoron Entertainment, the production company owned by Christopher Malick, the CEO of ePassporte.com.

From “Top Model” to “Top Porn Star”

Manhunt Founder’s Donation to McCain Not Returned

Records now show otherwise. Manhunt is one of the industry’s largest gay networking websites. It earns an estimated $30 million per year from a primarily gay male customer base, according to an Out magazine profile. Shemale Niche Gains Popularity

XBIZ has published a story exploring the growing popularity of the shemale niche in adult entertainment. “All of a sudden, the big adult programs are offering shemale content. What used to be considered a tiny niche has become a major player in online adult,” XBIZ reports. The genre’s exploding popularity can be attributed to the internet, said Grooby Productions owner Steven Gallon. As XBIZ notes, Gallon knows the market: He launched transsexual studio Grooby Productions eleven years ago by himself. Today, the Hawaii-based production company employs seven full-time workers and 25 employees worldwide. “It’s much more popular now than when we started,” he said. “All the big cash programs are throwing a few big shemale sites on their collection.” The films and websites are marketed primarily to straight or straight-identified men. Mr. Gallon tackles that “head-scratcher” of a curiosity. “The argument has been going on for years. Are the guys who like shemales straight or gay? My answer is that it doesn’t matter. If you’re into it, you’re into it. There’s no proper name for it. If we sent out a questionnaire to our members asking them whether they’re straight or gay, most of them would come back with, ‘Straight with a twist.’” He notes that the majority of his members are straight, a roster that includes “movie stars, rock stars, and sports figures. Titan Media Debuts “Folsom Undercover”

Wedding Bells Chime for Brent Everett

Wedding bells have been ringing in GayPornland ever since same-sex marriage was finally fucking legalized out here in California. Musclebod Tyler Saint got hitched to his (equally hot) civilian beau; so did Andy Kirra and Tristan Mathews. Now it’s Brent Everett who will tie the knot. He will marry Steve Pena, a non-porn civilian who nevertheless participates in Mr. Everett’s exhaustively chronicled sexcapades for his website. They will get hitched Friday, October 3 in San Diego in a private ceremony. But friends and fans are invited to join them in the VIP room of The Flame nightclub from 10:00pm to 2:00am. Sam Ritter: The Tonys to Movies to Porn

The Nuart theatre in Los Angeles has been running great midnight shows for years. The best part for a movie nut like me are the Q&As featuring cast and crew, some of them long-vanished from the Hollywood scene. Last night (Sept. 19) the Nuart screened 1985′s Fright Night! I had a date or I would’ve been there, dammit. In person to greet fans was writer/director Tom Holland with cast members William Ragsdale, Chris Sarandon, Jonathan Stark and a one Stephen Geoffreys. Constant Readers with a long memory will know him as porn performer Sam Ritter. These days it’s not so unusual to find a Colton Ford or Johnny Hazzard or Brent Corrigan to cross over into mainstream entertainment. Mr. Ritter, 44 next month, took the more unusual route of starting out as a mainstream actor and then moving into GayPornLand. In 1984 he was nominated for a Tony Award (Best Featured Actor in a Musical, The Human Comedy) — the first and only Tony-nominated gay porn star. A year later he was onscreen in Fright Night, Fraternity Vacation and Heaven Help Us. Another cult classic is 1988′s 976-EVIL. As Sam Ritter, he racked up about 30 fuck flicks between 1991-1998.
