New Release Desk: Titan’s “Home Invasion”

New Release Desk: The latest from Titan Media and writer/director Joe Gage is HOME INVASION with a cast led by bootylicious TitanMan Tony Buff. Featured players include fellow exclusive Chad Manning with Braxton Bond (an unsung performer, I think, and I’m glad directors like Mr. Gage have taken note of him), Enrique Currero (a rising star, judging from the mail we get), Geoffrey Paine, Sean Preston — there is now a twink performer named “Jaeden James” with a few films (some condomless) under his belt, so I suppose it’s only a matter of time now before he and Mr. Preston are paired off onscreen — Tristan Raine, Ty Roberts and Tommy Ruckus (cute name) with vet horndogs Tyler Saint, Scott Tanner and Jackson Wild. “Lock your doors. Close the curtains. Call the police. The sexy strangers are out there,” reads the press squib, “and your ass isn’t safe.” Dun-dun-dunnn… The story has to do with a businessman held captive in his home by three intruders, who are in turn surprised by the appearance of the businessman’s three sons. Five scenes run a whopping three hours. HOME INVASION debuted online this week on DVD and Blu-ray, with a retail version set for December 23. A question for Constant Readers who have seen all of Mr. Gage’s work this year: Which of his Titan films are your favorite and which do you think will be up for GAYVN/Grabby awards: CHAINSAW, COPPERHEAD CANYON or MEN’S ROOM III: OZARK MTN. Black Scorpion Signs Distro Deal with Lucom

[Editor's note: Gay Porn Times has signed a deal to provide LGBT content to industry publication XBIZ.] Gay adult studio Black Scorpion Entertainment has signed an exclusive worldwide distro pact with brand management company Lucom USA. Although Lucom holds European distribution rights to such gay adult studios as Titan Media, the new deal is its first worldwide exclusive arrangement. The pact covers both the Black Scorpion label as well as the newly launched all-sex subsidiary line Black Rat. Crime Blotter: Cuadra Attorney Seeks Withdrawal

Crime Blotter: An attorney for homicide suspect Harlow Cuadra filed a second petition Wednesday to withdraw from the capital murder case. Attorney Stephen Menn first filed court papers last week “asking a judge to withdraw him from the case, citing economic hardship.” However, Luzerne County [Pennsylvania] Court of Common Pleas Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. was not amenable. He denied the initial petition by Mr. Menn to withdraw and cited concerns over further delays in trying Mr. Cuadra, 27, and co-defendant Joseph Kerekes, 34. Both are accused of the January 2007 murder of Cobra Video producer Bryan Kocis, among other related crimes. “You can make any motion you want,” Judge Olszewski said at a pre-trial hearing last week. “My obligation is that fairness prevail over this trial and that this case be tried in a timely and competent manner.” He added the departure of another attorney could lead to a six-month delay. “That‚Äôs not going to happen,” the judge said. The trial was already postponed from September to January 2009 when two attorneys withdrew from the case. Barring further postponements, the trial is set to commence January 5. New Release Desk: “Straight to the Point, Vol. 9″

New Release Desk: Yep, this DVD insert pretty much does it for me: Cock-hungry Mason Wyler, some guy with a spectacular ass (actually, it‚Äôs Jonny T.)‚Ķyeah, I‚Äôm good. STRAIGHT TO THE POINT: VOL. 9 is from Next Door Studios and NextDoorMale.com. Costars include Taylor Aims, Blake, Mike Cooper, Drake, Patrick Rouge, Marcus Steele (now a Jet Set exclusive), Steven Wam and Christian Wilde. It streets shortly and VOL. 10 is already in the pipeline for next month. I‚Äôm not sure if the title refers to straight guys or, y‚Äôknow, cutting right to the chase (but I can venture a guess). Oh, and new Channel 1 Releasing exclusive Jeremy Bilding is part of the cast of VOL. 9 and VOL. 10 (also VOL. 7, plus the newly released MUSCLE MOUNTAIN from Jet Set Productions). Mr. Bilding was the belle of the ball a few weeks ago at Chi Chi LaRue‚Äôs latest 29th birthday party at Here Lounge in WeHo. C1R‚Äôs Coco Lachine grabbed me at one point and marched me right over for an introduction with the disarmingly handsome Mr. Bilding, who is whippet thin and dreamier in person than he appears onscreen (his skin was tanned a flawless golden brown, and it was all I could do to keep myself from tracing the back of my hand across his jawline as he spoke). It‚Äôs fascinating how some guys have their natural beauty tamped down by the camera, while others who are everyday handsome transform into Prince Charming. Mr. Bilding‚Äôs got “It,” no ’bout a doubt it.

Maleflixxx to Donate $1 Per Rental on World AIDS Day

Toronto-based Sureflix Digital Distribution, parent company of Maleflixxx video-on-demand network, will donate $1 from every rental on World AIDS Day to a variety of charitable organizations. Since 1988, WorldAIDSday.org has been observed annually on December 1st in order to raise funds and bring awareness to the global fight against HIV and AIDS. MaleFlixxx.tv has pledged funds in a similar manner since 2005 and all funds raised were typically donated to one charity. This year the studio will donate to a number of organizations “in an effort to extend its philanthropic reach.” Several of those charities include The Canada-Africa Partnership [CAP AIDS], the Test Positive Aware Network [TPAN] and The Folsom Fund. “As members of the gay adult entertainment industry, we believe it is our responsibility to assist in the fight against this unyielding disease,” said Eric Johnson, president of Sureflix Digital Distribution. AIDS is something that, in some capacity, affects us all. It is that common bond we share that must drive us in the ongoing struggle to find a cure.” Johnson said World AIDS Day is not only a fundraising effort, but also about “increasing awareness, education and fighting prejudice. HIV has not gone away and there are many things still to be done. Maleflixxx not only recognizes this challenge, but embraces it with a steadfast spirit.”

Pitbull Wins $2.85 Million Judgment

[Editor's note: Gay Porn Times has signed a deal to provide LGBT content to industry publication XBIZ.] Gay adult production house Pitbull Productions has been awarded $2.85 million in a default judgment against The Urban Netmedia Group, Inc. and its file-sharing website WhatsTea.com for copyright and trademark infringement. U.S. District Judge Adalberto Jordan in Miami further ordered the WhatsTea.com domain be transferred to Pitbull Productions. “After more than two years of litigation, the law did what it is place to do — protect copyrights and trademarks,” Pitbull’s Jalin Fuentes said. “Online newsgroups, file sharing sites, blogs and magazine sites, among others, cannot hide while they willfully [and] illegally infringe on our hard work, copyrights and trademarks…” CLICK HERE for the full story at XBIZ.

Ricky Sinz Reclaims Hole and a Heartbeat

AVN Awards: Trans Movies, Wonky Titles

Nominees for the 2009 AVN Awards have been announced in advance of the January 10 show in Las Vegas. I like to scan the rolls for anything interesting or unusual, and to report on the transsexual nominees. Yes, the “chicks with dicks” category is hotter than ever on the straight side of the skin biz. More on that in a moment. Among the 2917 nominees in 139 categories, I did notice that Herve Bodilis, who also helms gay porn, picked up a couple of directing nods for his straight work for Marc Dorcel via Wicked. And Steve Toushin of Bijou Video is being inducted into the Hall of Fame‚ÄîFounders Branch two years after thte GAYVN Awards bestowed a similar honor on this unsung industry pioneer. I’m also kind of intrigued that an awards show with categories like “Best Fem-Dom Strap On Release,” “Best Foot/Leg Fetish” and “Best Squirting Release” (tee-hee) would also have a category for “Best Speciality Release‚ÄîOther Genre.” The mind boggles. Straight people are so cute. Money Woes: Gay Brazilian Mag Folds

Earlier today we wrote about the all-encompassing financial gloom-and-doom that has trickled down to GayPornLand (scroll down a couple of stories). Here‚Äôs another example, even if it isn‚Äôt exactly related to gay porn, but may be of interest given that everyone and their abuelita have packed up to shoot in South America lately: Brazilian gay mag DOM has met the Grim Reaper. Four additional titles under publisher Editoria Peixes met the Sword of Damocles. We lost Playgirl already, and now a magazine dedicated to sexalicious South American studmuffins bites the dust (all is not entirely lost, as a new publisher could pick up the title). “If this keeps up, where are we going to go to find quality ‘reading material’? Oh right,” snarks Queerty, “we’ll just go to the same place we‚Äôve been going for a decade: The Internet. Dual Birthday Parties Planned for WeHo

Sneak Peek: Jet Set is “Screwed”

Sneak Peek: This hunka-hunka is newcomer Vince Ferelli from the set of Jet Set Productions‘ recently wrapped SCREWED. Directed by Chris Steele from a script penned by John Tegan, the film is set in a horned-up prison run by Cayden Banks and Rod Daily. Mr. Banks and Mr. Ferelli are new-ish to porn and pop their cherries alongside David Taylor, Kash Satal and Austin Wrigley. The action was lensed entirely at Jet Set’s newly built ProFac Studios soundstage in North Hollywood (I had a tour when it was still under construction and it’s a luxe setup.) Look for the DVD in January. Does Mr. Ferelli look familiar? In late October, we wrote about him having his plush muscle-butt poked by Robert Van Damme for MightyMen.com. New Release Desk: Okay, I realize I’ve been suckered in by the DVD inserts Bel Ami has been producing lately; my sweeth tooth for adorably cute, smooth-chested pups has been unquenchable lately. And I’m keen on LEMONADE right now ‚Äî “Everybody needs a little refreshment!” ‚Äî because the lovely pup snuggling within Brandon Manilow‘s arms is Dolph Lambert, a lanky cutie who is perhaps the studio’s reigning princeling. (You guys went a little loopy, not that I blame ya, when we ran the first of a series of posts about him all the way back in January ‚Äî CLICK HERE). Costars include the valiant Paul Valery and frizzy-haired Troy Allen, plus Justin Boyd, Jean-Claude Duvall, Kevin Elola (crystalline blue eyes, that one), Tobias Hayek, Fabian Lally and Ollie Safranov. The film streets December 1 online, and in retail two weeks later. I’d have preferred if Messrs. Brandon and Lambert were actually gazing into each other’s eyes rather than affecting the romance-novel pose picture here, but it’s still romantic and sweet, and gently sweeps away the dreaded Monday yips.
