Gay Porn on “Desperate Housewives” Next Week?

The gay blogs are atwitter today over Sunday night’s tease for next week’s episode of Desperate Housewives. The very end of last night’s episode had bickering couple Bree and Orson Hodge befuddle their young, handsome plastic surgeon (played by Todd Grinnell), who called his significant other and implored him not to let their own relationship turn so crazy. Too late, as his squeeze is none other than Andrew Van De Kamp, Bree’s son (played by twinkishly cute Shawn Pyfrom). Next week, Andrew takes Dr. Boyfriend home to meet the folks to announce their impending marriage (pre-Prop. 8, of course…ugh). Complications ensue when gay neighbors Bob and Lee confess to Bree their belief that Dr. Boyfriend is ‚Äî a porn actor. Dun, dun, dunnnn. Who knows where this will go? Show creator Marc Cherry is a gay Republican, and the queer aspects of this show have reflected, by my view, a certain measure of self-loathing. Stay tuned, Superfriends.

I don’t know whether we will see this gay episode in the UK. The trouble with some US series, like ‘DH’ & ‘Ugly Betty’, is that you usually see the first and second seasons then there is a long gap of several months, then when back the time is changed to a much later slot and you either lose the plot or you find it on too late!
Everyone on the show behaves badly for the most part, that’s what makes it fun. I wouldn’t expect or want it to be PC and have positive gay role models, any more than positive straight ones. So I’m afraid I can’t agree about the “self-loathing” aspect of the gay storylines.
Marc Cherry’s politics were reason enough for me to avoid watching any episodes of the show even from the premiere.
I’ve watched every episode of the show, one of my faves, and this is the first I’ve heard anything about Marc Cherry’s politics. Guess ignorance is bliss.
Perhaps a scene with Shawn Pyfrom and Blake Riley. Now that would get a good Neilson rating.
I don’t expect much, but let’s hope it will be interesting….both actors are cuties….
Sinu, there’s a website called Surf The Channel that has a bunch of TV shows available for viewing. They might have Desperate Housewives too.
