The Biz: Falcon Checks Into ‘Asylum’

[Editor's note: Gay Porn Times has signed a deal to provide LGBT content to industry publication XBIZ.] Director John Bruno has wrapped ASYLUM for Falcon Entertainment. Production took place at Linda Vista Hospital, an abandoned medical facility in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles whose spooky aspect has led to its frequent use in mainstream film and television production. The facility is purportedly haunted. “Ever since laying eyes on the infamous hospital about four years ago, John Bruno has persistently campaigned to make ASYLUM at this location,” the studio said. Studio exclusive Erik Rhodes headlines with stablemates Ty Colt and TJ Hawke. Supporting players include Rod Daily, Leo Giamani, Dominic Pacifico, Ryan Raz and Diesel Washington. Falcon is just treading water. EVERY film they bring out is going to be the one which rescues the ailing studio, but is resignedly not.
The cast mentioned appears really lacklustre. Rhodes is hot, but he is hit and miss depending on how attracted he is to his co-star, which I think is a good thing
They made me get out of my restraints and leave my ward to do the filming there. I was appalled.

Hey Anonymous. Did I miss something in the story? Where did it say this was going to be the film that rescues the ‘ailing’ studio? They must not be doing too bad, do you have ANY idea how much it costs to shoot at that hospital? Call the contact number for Linda Vista Hospital and I’m sure they’ll tell you – seems to me that an ‘ailing’ studio couldn’t afford to film at such a notable Hollywood location. I don’t think Falcon is claiming what you’re stating.

Wow. It doesn’t take much to start a Falcon fire on sites like this. I never comment on sites like this but I’m a fan, and I’ve been a member of their site for 5 years and a DVD and VHS consumer prior to going on-line. I have not been disappointed (well, TWO times over recent years; “Hustle & Cruise” and “Greased”) with any of their films and have not noticed a decline in quality. Erik Rhodes dysmorphic? Dreck? Lacklustre? Well, when other studios puts out crap like this maybe I’ll buy something from them too.
Say pre 95 Falcon movies were so hot, still rank as the best. But be honest they haven’t made a hot flick in years, particualry the Chris Steele vids which went on to set the tone of every film since. They have lost their mojo.
I don’t agree. Taking Flight is one of my all time favorite movies.
Falcon is still very much a company to be reckoned with but gee this cast? TJ Hawke is gorgeous stuff but combined with steroid Eric Rhodes or awful Gamiani? I can see TJ hawke fucking with with Roman Heart, Eddie diaz, Tommy blade, alexy Tyler but Rhodes and Gaminai, give me a break? What are they thinking?
