2009 GAYVN Noms Announced

The 2009 GAYVN Awards nominations were announced this morning, and one big change is readily apparent: There are a lot more nominees than usual. The marquee categories have been expanded well beyond the usual ten nominations. Here’s a quick rundown of the top nominees: Raging Stallion Studios appears to dominate the studio tally with a bushel of nods for TO THE LAST MAN 1-2, natch. A total of sixteen films are up for Best Picture; Dink Flamingo’s Dirty Bird Pictures is the only studio with two films — ENDGAME and THE PORNE ULTIMATUM — in contention. A whopping 18 films earned a Best Director citation (not counting directing teams), while 19 are in contention for Performer of the Year and Best Actor, and 15 for Best Newcomer. too bad that the awards are so slanted – especially this year since Gayvn has given it over to Nakedsword. I wonder if this will be a reflection on the movie they helped Raging Stallion make and it winning all the noms? Hum? dumb question – I don’t think so. who cares about this stupid award show anyway – it’s a bunch of freaks who drink too much and make fools of themselves anywya.
They should give out two winners from each category with so many nominated. That way more of the guys leave happy and want to have more SEX!!!

It’s a travesty that, among all those nominees, the deeply boring and mechanical Diesel Washington is the only one of color. Eddie Diaz is far superior.

yeah like always it creates more stress and distress if i see some of the nominees; best all-rounders and winners in toto are D.O., Tommy Lima, roman Heart, Max Schutler and Damian Rios but where are hotties such as Tyler Johnson, alexy tyler and pistol pete???
I agree, way too many nominees. I guess it’s a way to keep every major company happy with at least one of their films getting a nom, but this is ridiculous!!
It also makes the evening torture to sit through, I would imagine, having to listen to an endless list of nominees being read out for each category. Snooooze.
Oh paleeze – get a life! This is just an event to boost their egos and pump themselves up within the industry. What’s most important are the fans like you and me.
Why no category for all the criminals in porn? (Sub-categories for murderers, thieves, etc.)
