He remarked on the profusion of publicity items issued by two people that stands above the rest for its volume and regularity: Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, and our boy, Mr. Lucas. “Lucas will continually forward his views, his videos that got yanked off YouTube — or the ones that didn’t — and even the most obscure little press mentions. Most poignantly, he recently sent out a CNN iReport on which, if you clicked on photo number four, it showed a shuttered porn video store which had Lucas’s face in the window,” Mr. Musto snarked. “Top that, Russell Simmons!” Scroll down to the comments for Mr. Lucas’ reply, as well as yet another Lucas Entertainment press release detailing the provenance of Mr. Lucas’ recent bout of flatulence (that last one was probably a joke, but it’s safer to assume otherwise).

    This guy has become so played out and over-hyped that he’s now living in his own little fantasy world in which he believes his own contrived hype. And hate to say it but Michael Musto is the new Liz Smith (yeah, yeah she’s been successful) of the lower half of Manhattan, I mean, aren’t they about the same age? Irrelevant meet irrelevant.
