   Mr Lucas is entitled to his opinion. But rushing the stage and blurting out his snarky comment was simply rude and unprofessional. It was a cry for attention from a man who was not the center of attention this year.
   I’m a fan of his work as well as Mr Corrigan’s work. Last night I saw one class act and one classless one.
   That was not the time nor place.
   Yes… I was there.
   Other than that (and some poor direction in general) the show was great fun!

   I hope you or someone else, posts a pic of Dink Flamingo on their blog. I’ve wondered for the longest, what he looks like. Hopefully someone snapped some pix.

   As for Michael, he’s an egomaniac. Brent may have started in the biz when he was underage, but he was recognized for his current work and he’s now in his 20s. Michael sure waited a long time to make a point. Personally, I’m not a fan of either guy.

   Unlike Jimmy D, I wasn’t there, so what I say is based on this report.

   I seldom play politically correct. With that in mind, I can’t say CONGRATS to all, because I feel some were just a popularity contest, and I’m not neccessarily referring to those winners with the most nominations.

   In regards to Michael Lucas, I’ve made it no secret of how I feel about him. Now if I was to ever regret the things I have said, his behavior as of late would make me undo that regret. His recent verbal assault against Diesel Washington, now this? Being an attention-whore over Brent Corrigan? Michael Lucas was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Why isn’t that enough to make him have a good evening?

   While I’m not a big fan of Brent Corrigan, (however if he was to get a case of Jungle Fever, I would be more than happy to oblige), but I will say on Brent’s behalf, that he WAS an underage performer. NOW Brent is of legal age to do his thing. Michael Lucas needs to grasp that fact, and leave Brett alone. People who behave the way Michael is behaving usually point their fingers at someone else as a way to divert people from finding the skeletons in their closet. I myself pointed the “shame on you” finger at many when I was struggling with my sexuality, so I know from what I speak.

   Are you guys kidding? Michael Lucas was fighting for the industry’s good name. It was very corageous on his part and no one else had the balls to say what he said. Theres nothing new about it. Lucas has campaigned against Corrigan for years. So a thumbs up to him!!

   This award show is beginning to look like a repeat from years gone by…
   Someone wins something or says something and then all then sudden out of the blue Lucas grabs a mic and hurls an insult.
   The only thing that would have been more shocking than Michael saying something outload at the awards about someone would have been Michael saying that Brent deserved to be in a cell next to Harlow.

    UPDATE: The After Party

    Michael Lucas claims that Brent’s BF was arrested and is in jail are untrue.

    Brent will have a statement later for now “they” meaning Brent and BF are going BACK to bed.

    This should tell you no one was carted off to jail.

    Yes Michael Lucas filed a police report.

    Police arrived to question the BF and since they obviously left without said BF in custody I think we know what happened.

    Words were exchanged at an After party between the four (Brent and his BF and Michael and his BF)

    Micheal’s absolutely vile and disgusting behavior last night at the GayVN’s was no doubt on Everyone’s mind.

    The fact is Mr.Lucas attempted to have Brent Corrigan ejected from the GayVN awards, made scurrilous and base statements after forcing himself on stage at one point and was ultimately heckled and jeered!

    Mr. Lucas poisoned the atmosphere and cast a pall over the nights festivity’s, this was all about Michael Lucas’s posturing,ranting and raving.

    Michael Lucas who was arrested in Chelsea NYC last spring for assaulting his neighbor, is a well know bully and malcontent.

    Should we be surprised at this Outrageous behavior?

    The man who threw ice at past GayVN Award winners all because the petulant Prince of Chelsea did not get his way?

    Again the fact Mr.Lucas and his paramour are jetting back to NYC

    and

    Brent and his BF are going back to sleep should tell you something.

    Hmmm…. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I have to side with Michael once again. That doesn’t mean I agree with his public outburst because he did that mostly for himself and not for the industry. But I do agree with his statements.

    I think what Lucas did should be applauded. Maybe is was bad timing during the show but I think it was something that needed to be addressed. Little twinks will want to follow in Brent’s footsteps and I think the people in porn should fight to protect the youth.

    Just to set the record straight, Michael Lucas did not throw ice — he had thrown ice at him when Raging Stallion obsesssed about his Dolce Vita win. As to last night, Mr Lucas style is sure not everybody’s cup[ of tea but his comment was to the point. And he did get attacked and threatend in the club — I saw it and couldn’t believe it. I applaud him for not hitting back and defending himself in a civilized way — by calling police. Of course nobody should get arrested over this and I am glad to hear that the participants are happily either in the air or in bed.

    I dont always agree with him but here Michael Lucas did a great thing. Brent Corrigan is a callous and deviant criminal brat masked as a adorable twink. He needs to be put in his place. He has a very shady past with association in a vicious murder case and forging ID’s to break into the industry. Youth cannot follow in this bad seed’s footsteps. WE need to set an example that we WILL NOT stand for such actions and put our livelihood and the country’s children in jeopardy. Porn will never lose the awful stigma if we honor such a deviant. And all cannot be blamed on his boyfriends– you are as good as the company you keep. Brent Corrigan you are a disgrace and an embarrassment to our community.

    I haven’t heard anything about Michael wanting to hire Brent. I’m not saying you’re a liar, but I’d need proof. I can’t take just anyone’s word on that.

    Also, I don’t recall ever hearing about Michael throwing ice at anyone. It was the other way around. JD Slater threw ice at him after that “Fuck You” speech he gave.

    Jared, that’s just the point. As I said, Michael Lucas’ style can sometimes be grating but he he has done as much as anybody to mainstream the gay porn industry and make it a professional business like any other. C, the shady manipulator, does exactly the opposite. That’s not where the industry should be going and that’s not what we should celebrate. Michael Lucas has it right.

    It was a lot tamer at the Castro Theater this year –overall– because they weren’t serving FREE MARTINIS to everyone. God what a brilliant fucked up hilarious fun but ultimately unrepeatable experience that was… Lucas didn’t change, its just the crowd was sober enough to notice his antics this time out. Overall, I just want to say hats off to Naked Sword (and no, I don’t work there) and the other participants for making the best GayVN weekend I have ever been to, by far. It was just fun as hell from start to sloppy finish. Fun as hell.

    March 29, 2009 (San Francisco, CA) Michael Lucas, CEO and president of Lucas Entertainment, the East Coast’s largest gay adult production company, on the events that occurred last night associated with the GayVN Awards and Brent Corrigan.

    There is nothing new about my campaign against the honoring of Brent Corrigan. I took to the stage to speak out against nominating him, which was made very timely after for the ASACP was recognized for their child protection. In my speech, I said shame on those who nominated and awarded Corrigan. There should be no forgiveness for the company’s and individual who put the industry in danger.

    Let me make it clear right away that I have no personal vendetta against Brent—I’ve never even spoke to him. My purpose is to protect this industry from juveniles and set the standard rule for not accepting the risk they put us all in. We can not forget the crimes he committed because they are in the past. He is of age now—I get that but he could have put a lot of people in jail for his crimes to get where he is now. We can not let this precedent stand as a protocol for young boys looking to follow in his path.

    During my call to action Corrigan’s boyfriend rushed to the stage and started yelling insanely at me to get off the microphone. As I was leaving the theatre, several people were warning me to watch my back, as some overheard Corrigan’s boyfriend making threats to my address. Among all the scattered lunacy, people were saying THANK YOU for having the courage to say what I did. I didn’t see my statement as too heroic at that point. I simply exercised my right of free speech and I strongly believe in the importance of my message. The adult industry shouldn’t award models who work when they’re underage and forge their identification.

    Conversely, and apparent in this occasion, speaking your mind can be dangerous. At the after party, Corrigan’s boyfriend came up to me and bumped his chest against mine. I do not know the boyfriend’s name but I know that it’s not his ex Grant Roy. This guy was a buff Latin male that appears to be in his thirties .He then threatened that he was going to kill me and demand that we leave the club together immediately so that he could break my neck. The club’s security swiftly came and separated him; he came back and told me that he will splash acid into my face, “which will be the end of your career.” I called the police immediately when I reached the hotel and recalled to them what happened. The cops went to Corrigan’s room, but the couple was still out partying elsewhere.

    I called the police at 7:00 am, San Francisco time, as soon as I found out that they were back in their room (I simply called the room and Corrigan picked up the phone). The police were there within ten minutes. They talked to Corrigan and his boyfriend for about twenty minutes, and then handcuffed the boyfriend and took him into custody.

    Corrigan has a history of choosing violent boyfriends. During a 12-hour cross examination at the Kocis murder trial, Grant Roy, admitted to saying several times, he wanted to kill Kocis. So now, the new boyfriend was threatening to kill me. There’s a certain pattern here. I was really impressed by the work of the police department. They were very professional and very polite. They were extremely concerned and worked fast and effectively. They asked me if I would be willing to fly to California in the case of a trial, and I said absolutely, as I don’t take threats to my life very cavalier.

    I’ve written about it and spoken about it for years, and I’m not about to stop any time soon. I think Mickey Skee asked me about the point of forgiveness for Corrigan. Not in my case, as I’m a producer and a company owner. It’s my nightmare to have an underage performer with fictitious identification working for me. Does anyone want to go to jail for a defiant and impatient juvenile? I certainly don’t, no matter how adorable the boy is. We should be protecting youth and protecting ourselves. There is no performer who is worth losing freedom for. Let’s be strong in our dedication to take the cliché out porn being an underground and dangerous business, which uses and abuses minors.

    Also, whoever witnessed the threats and said events at the party, please contact me. I have witnesses now, but it’s always great to have more.

    I did a little research on laws in California. Apparently, you can be sentenced up to 3 years for making criminal threats. And it can be considered a strike under California’s three strikes law.

    You as a producer and owner of a company, Mr. Lucas, have the obligation to examine the IDs of your potential performers. If you don’t verify their genuineness beyond doubt, you don’t film the model. That and only that keeps you out of jail. If yo fail on that obligation, you go subsequently to jail. And rightly so. That is not the fault of the model, it is your fault.

    Where have you been when a known and convicted child molester harmed your industry, Mr. Lucas? What did you do when Kocis validated the cliché porn being an underground and dangerous business? Did you speak out against the use and abuse of minors then?
    No. You kept silent and watched. You and the rest of the industry did nothing. You let it happen. You bear a part of the blame!

    Going after the model now instead of the child porn producer then is nothing more than a sign of the perverted state of mind of the porn industry.

    Yes the industry bears part of the blame for the Cobra scandel. Yes, many of those people were silent. Yes, Kocis was a perv who got his in the end.
    HOWEVER, I have yet to see any full responsblity taken by Brent for his actions in this mess. Anything that has happened to him has always been someone else’s fault. It’s always this evil ex-boyfriend or that evil studio or blah blah blah. Yet Brent will always have people rush to his rescue and make excuses for him while slamming anybody who speaks out againest him as a jealous queen or a has been etc.
    Are some of them probably jealous etc? Yup. Does that mean some of their points aren’t valid. Nope. Like I said before, I have yet to see any real accountablity for what Brent put the industry thorugh, only excuses and blaming other people. For once, I agree with the blowhard Lucas. I wonder if all these people will still be behind Brent when he gets older and loses the youth so many in the gay community value?

    How did I know this years awards would be the worst ever? It was an appalling and embarrassing evening. This will affect any award show participation in the future. I mean, really, why bother any more? It wasn’t even worth the cab fare to get from the hotel to the show and back again.

    ON another perspective…
    Maybe Brent needs to seriously take a breather from the industry or seriously examine who he keeps company with, trusts etc. For all the good it seems they do it just seems they do that much harm too.
    In too many articles Grant was made to look like some money sucking bully and other things that were not proven to this point. The Harlow case made him look none the better either, perhaps one of the best things from the outside looking in is that they are no longer intimate.
    Now this un named boyfriend is on the scene. People are calling him crazy, saying he tried to run over someone and him threatening Lucas publicly does them no favors. When porn stars are coming out in the open and calling the guy nuts you know there is a problem. I don’t know if Brent needs better management or just someone to tell him the f’n truth once in a while whether he likes it or not but these thugs and money grubbers have to go.

    This new guy may have not started anything GAYVN night but he sure did not help the situation any.

    M Lucas and his antics are finally catching up with the hustler – I will give this to him he is the ultimate hustler – he knows how to manipulate a situation and a crowd to benefit himself – for some one who is a self proclaimed lawyer – he has no problem clogging up the judicial system with frivolous lawsuits just to get his way – and then gets upset when real lawsuits are brought against him and his company (stealing a title from spunk / la dolce vita / pending assault case) – too much bad karma around him – lets move on

    brent corrigan is used trash. good looking in a rather meager way and just trouble with a capital T. his life is like one of those trashy soaps. you cant help watching but they are oh-so bad for you. the industry would be so much better without him.
