desalvo-randyblueWe wrote last week about Vincent DeSalvo, 22, a Randy Blue performer who was enrolled at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. The school has a strict code of ethics that prohibits premarital sex (a U.S. News and World Report article apparently described it as the third-most conservative campus in America). One of his classmates discovered Mr. DeSalvo’s erotic career, which he had undertaken to pay for tuition and related expenses, and spread the word. He was soon suspended and DeSalvo announced he was considering a lawsuit. CLICK HERE for more details…

No surprise, then, that a deal has been hammered out: He will be allowed to graduate as long as he finishes his coursework elsewhere. “[Grove City College] has a rule where the last 30 credits taken for a major have to be at GCC,” DeSalvo said in a newspaper report. “Administrators are willing to make a loophole for me by letting me transfer in courses [from another school] to graduate. I’m satisfied with the outcome but not happy.”

The college, however, released an official statement noting that he had “voluntarily chosen to withdraw from Grove City College. [His] suspension resulted from his involvement in the adult pornography industry. The student acknowledged that he was employed in the adult entertainment industry and that he knew that violated the student code of conduct. Throughout this process, his sexual orientation was not a factor in the decision.”

Vincent DeSalvo will be moving to New York City shortly after graduation, where he plans to finish his coursework (two bio-chemistry classes). He will also appear in a straight play, “Love for Sale” (no jokes, please) and hopes to put the whole ugly situation behind him. He told a reporter that he has received more than 150 derogatory emails and had fruit thrown at him in the school cafeteria. Bro-ther; it’s always nice to see Christian principles put into action.

This is one of those mixed emotions for me. First off, Mr. DeSalvo enrolled in a school where he knew what he was doing was against it’s code of ethics. Therefore there should be some sort of punishment. Second, anything happen to the student who discovered Mr. DeSalvo’s adult career? Obviously this student was searching for something when he figured out who Vincent was. Wouldn’t that also go against this institutions code of ethics???? I’m just sayin!!!!

Does the word “hypocrite” come to mind?
Its not OK to perform in it, but it’s OK to watch it?
At least the school didnt have some nameless idiot calling the dean. as happened in Boston several years ago. Here, it was one of their own.

i think what you do on the outside of school is none of the school controls. whether it is religous or not. if you are paying for your education for a better life that being a porn or a hooker then why not do it to get by. it not like working minimum wage will help get you by. also you can’t really get a loan now. religion is a preference not a life.
