Dustin Lance Black Pulled from Porno Bingo?

We’ve got a follow-up to last week’s press release roundup item about Dustin Lance Black and Cleve Jones having been scheduled to appear at a New York Pride-themed edition of the Porno Bingo fundraiser. Proceeds were to benefit Heritage of Pride, the nonprofit org that organizes NYC Gay Pride events. It turns out neither gent was present for the bingo portion, although Mr. Jones turned up later in the evening “insisting that he knew nothing about being confirmed for the Bingo event,” says host Will Clark. He called the night “a challenging evening” and expressed appreciation for the promo efforts of Nick Capra [pictured] and porn giveaways from Lucas Entertainment. Mr. Clark says HOP booked Messrs. Black and Jones “months ago” and canceled ninety minutes before the event was to begin. “Apparently I wasn’t supposed to advertise that Black and Jones would be there,” he blogs. “What did HOP think I was going to do once they confirmed them? Make people guess who my guests were? Ridiculous.” Instead they ended up raising $1000 for the Gay/Lesbian Anti-Violence Project, he says.
