‘Men of Israel’ Plugged on ‘Chelsea Lately’
July 29, 2009 | 6 Comments
Lucas Entertainment‘s MEN OF ISRAEL sexpic is popping up in all kinds of unusual places. Earlier this week, it was the jumping-off point for a rumination on Jewish identity in the Los Angeles Times. And then, unexpectedly, it was the subject of a segment on last night’s episode of Chelsea Lately (I’ll post the clip if I can find it). Host Chelsea Handler and her round table of comedians had some fun with the idea of an all-Jewish porn flick — “Israel really needed another hook,” “It’s the first gang-bang where everyone has a graduate degree,” “Are they going to offer an uncut version?” etc. From the Times to late-night television in one week; I can’t think of a gay porn movie that has achieved that kind of pop-culture penetration (yoinks!).

So amazing– this is a revolution! And the movie is hot as hell!!!
^^^ Oh for crying out loud, it’s not a fracking revolution IT’S PORN!!!!
I’ve paid my tribute and applauded Lucas Entertainment for a film that’s as erotic as it is thought-provoking – but a ‘revolution’ it ain’t!!
i dont know, i cant agree and say its just porn. it has stirred up incredible attention that no other “porn” movie has ever done. i mean a gay porn talked about in the LA Times and on a mainstream popular talk show. it is in a way a revolution. its tackling social stereotypes and presenting israel in a new light that has never been done in porn- ever. it paves the way for porn with a cause. hot men. hot sex. hot topic.
Sorry folks, but a revolution is something that impacts peoples’ LIVES and is remembered by succeeding generations. 1776 was a revolution. 1917 was a revolution. The Internet is a revolution.
At most, this is a diversion and 99.5% of the people outside of the gay porn industry who read these articles will have them within 3 months. Again, I’m not trying to put down Michael’s achievement in creating a remarkable porn video but I do think someone needs to keep some perspective around here…
that’s will have forgotten them in 3 months…
I hate insomnia, can’t sleep, can’t type, can’t drink coffee…
without question it is achieving what no other porn video has. it’s creating dialogue for the masses. it certainly is a revolution in porn. to compare it to 1776 is laughable stretch that you made Alan– not one is claiming that.
