Aiden-Shaw-booksPress Release Roundup: I know we’ve got another two months for this event but I’m posting it this morning because otherwise I will likely forget. The press office at A Different Light bookstore wants to let y’all know that performer-author Aiden Shaw will be signing books at their San Francisco location in November. CLICK HERE for the specific date and time. He’ll likely be touting his new memoir, “Sordid Truths: Selling My Innocence for a Taste of Stardom” (Alyson Books). As an author, Mr. Shaw inevitably weaves a compelling, if depressive narrative — “My Undoing,” “Wasted” et. al. — and given its title, I’m sure the new memoir will be more light reading. As I wrote back in May, 2008, “Someone get this guy a lollipop, already.”

I also see Aidan’s offering his services on Rentboy again. I can’t understand why anyone would hire him, given Aiden’s writings express such a withering contempt for the profession and his clients in general…
