Antonio Biaggi Quits Skin Biz, Closes Castro Shop

Performer-entrepreneur Antonio Biaggi — he of the still-waters-run-deep demeanor and massive torpedo of a cock — has announced his retirement from the skin biz. The announcement was recently made on his blog. Mr. Biaggi is apparently still under contract to Raging Stallion Studios and notes he still has five films in the pipeline; it’s not clear if they’ve already been shot. Other sites describe a romantic bust-up as the reason he’s blowing town and returning to Puerto Rico next month. He will also close his Castro shop, the Eco Boutique, but plans to keep its online store in operation. Mr. Biaggi has been kept busy since his debut in 2007 with about 20 or so sexpics, most recently THE TRAP, TEN POUND TUBE STEAK on the Monster Bang Video label and FISTPACK 23: WHAT’S HAPPENING DOWN THERE? for Fisting Central.

Cody Cash Returns to Blue Movie Scene

My colleage Mark Adams (no relation) has news of the return of Mr. Cody Cash to the skin scene. He’s been in the clink for awhile now, having already served 20 months in 2006 and ’07. “He looks like he just got back from a long vacation on some tropical island,” says talent manager David Forest, who will rep Mr. Cash in all areas. “Enough is enough. I’m a big boy now, no more time to waste,” he says. “Hope to have the chance to do it all again.” Despite having first appeared on the scene back in 2004, when he was the “It” boy for a hot minute, Cody Cash only has a handful of sexpics to his credit — three guesses as to why — including BAD BOYS CLUB (his erotic debut) for Studio 2000 and PARTS AND SERVICE for Jet Set Productions. Comedian Louis C.K. Ponders Gay Porn Sexpic

This amusing short film has been making the rounds of the interwebs for the last week, but I’m posting it in case you haven’t seen it yet (also, it’s still a slow news period). In the clip, comedian Louis C.K. explores the accidentally-on-purpose leak of a gay porn video in which he would star. A producer — played by a deadpan Bobby Cannavale — runs down the list of required sex acts that would really bring in the big bucks. (The whole thing is a promo for the comedian’s forthcoming show on the FX network.) A couple of our Constant Readers have expressed disappointment over what they perceive as the clip’s underlying tone of homophobia — that Louis C.K. has sunk so low he’ll consider man-on-man sex to revive his career. Along those lines, video-on-demand network AEBN has announced its 2010 VOD Awards nominees as well as a revamped website. The nods were determined by popular vote over the course of the year. The kudos are mostly straight, with just one trans category and no gay honors at all. 2010 Gay Porn Awards Schedule

Speaking of porn awards (see the previous post), the 2010 gay porn awards schedule is as follows: the 10th annual Cybersocket Web Awards are set for Monday, February 8 in Hollywood. Chi Chi LaRue and Jason Sechrest have already been announced as co-hosts, and the show is being held in conjunction with the XBIZ Conference unspooling February 9 – 11 at the Sofitel Hotel in Hollywood. The XBIZ Awards will be handed out Wednesday, February 10 (attendance is currently restricted to conference registrants). So that will be a busy week in GayPornLand. About three months later, the Grabby Awards unspool Saturday, May 29 at the Park West theater in Chicago, in conjunction with the International Mr. Leather convention, which runs May 28 – 31. Earlier that month, the 2010 Blatino Oasis is set for May 7 – 10 in Palm Springs, Calif. Organizers are expected to hand out their Blatino Erotica Awards for the fourth consecutive year. That just leaves the GAYVN Awards, and no one seems to know if they’ll even happen. This year’s show, presented by NakedSword.com, was held at the end of March in San Francisco. I’ve asked NS reps if they’ve heard anything (nope), I’ve made repeated attempts to get someone from AVN Media Network to respond, and got bupkes. The official awards website hasn’t been updated in six months.

2010 AVN Noms: GayPornLand, Trans Nominees

[Edits 12/22/09.] AVN Media Network announced its 2010 AVN Awards nominees yesterday — the day before a long holiday weekend, natch — and among the 7,617 nominees in 1117 categories there are, as usual, several of interest to GayPornLand. Helmer Herve Bodilis, for example, snagged two noms for sexpics he directed for Marc Dorcel/Wicked Pictures. A couple of unexpected names popped up in the Hall of Fame categories: Cybersocket‘s Morgan Sommer and Tim Lutz were named to the Hall of Fame: Internet Founder’s Branch. And, lo! — Chi Chi LaRue snagged a surprise screenplay nomination for the Club Jenna blue movie JENNA CONFIDENTIAL. (And none other than Sharon Kane received a nod for Supporting Actress for the same film.) New Release Desk: In case you hadn’t heard the glorious news, Robert Van Damme bottoms for the first time (onscreen) in PRIVATE PARTY 3: THE MYSTERY REVEALED! The performer-director and burgeoning mogul co-directed (with Gio Caruso) for his RVD Films boutique label. They’re making a renewed push for the sexpic and the muscleman himself has racked up a slew of personal appearances, from the Folsom Street Fair to the 37th anniversary party for L.A.’s Midtowne Spa. He’s also Mr. August in the Rentboy.com 2010 Calendar. In the third PRIVATE PARTY fuck flick, Mr. Van Damme surrenders the pink to thickly hung Tyler Saint in the final vignette. TitanMen Tony Buff, Dean Flynn, JR Matthews, Will Parker and Christopher Saint share the spotlight with David Dakota, Gio Forte and Bryan Slater. “You won’t believe how good it feels to let it all hang out,” reads the press squib. “Just ask the eager-to-please staff at the Battle Creek Ridge Lodge, where many surprises await the curious customers. Come inside and stay awhile — there’s something special in the air.” The quartet of episodes pair Messrs. Buff and Matthews; Saint and Forte in a flip-fuck; Dakota and Parker, and Slater with Flynn (“During a costume party at the lodge, Bryan is smitten with superhero Dean, who has a few surprises up his Spandex.” If anyone can fill out superhero tights, it’s Dean-effing-Flynn). The DVD and Blu-ray are available online now and hit the wholesale market a few days before Christmas.

David Forest to Rep Corrigan, Giamani
