Beauty Shot: Brent Everett and Jet Lag
November 2, 2009 | Leave a Comment

Beauty Shot: As I cruise into the second week of my overseas writing assignment with Bel Ami, I feel I’ve mostly kicked my vicious jet lag — ugh — and yet there is a couple of hours there in late afternoon and early evening, about 4 – 7 p.m., when I am essentially the walking dead. Most of Europe had it’s fall-back time change a week ago, while the U.S. made the switch this past weekend, meaning 4 – 7 p.m. Bratislava time is 7 – 10 a.m. in Los Angeles. I should be up and well-rested, but no, I’ve been working all day…my body just doesn’t get it. A short nap around 7-ish can work one of two ways; I’ll be up and perky as a spring daisy after an hour, or I will not arise from my bed — where I have fallen face down, fully dressed, with a slice of pizza on the table and the TV blaring — until the sun rises the next morning. So guess what? I’m up. The attached pics have nothing to do with the price of tea in China, I just thought they were amusing and decided to make it a Beauty Shot, of sorts. They’re screencaps of luscious Brent Everett‘s Halloween extravaganza for his web members. He built the set himself. The Paul Lynde Halloween Special this ain’t.
