C1R Touts ‘Best of Kevin Brown’

I noticed the other day that Channel 1 Releasing is touting THE BEST OF KEVIN BROWN, a compilation collecting five scenes featuring the hunky, sweet-faced Southern charmer. He’s unnecessarily Photoshopped on this softcore DVD insert, though. The featured episodes are from CAPTURED (2005), DOWN THE DRAIN (2006), FUCKING WITH THE STARS (2006), NO FOLKS @ HOME (2005) and RAW 2 (2006). Costars include Kyle Aames, Cam Kurtz, Antonio Madiera, Zackary Pierce, Marcos Pirelli, Pete Ross, Chad Savage and Scott Swann. Nice collection of beefcake, eh? I recall Kevin Brown with some fondness because he starred in my second (I think) movie as a director, SEX WITH STRANGERS. It’s not included in this collection but I gotta say, the sex is pretty darned good. It was only Mr. Brown’s second blue movie and his first trip to the West Coast. We bonded a bit and I’m glad when he had his fill of the porn biz that he went right back home. He filmed only about a dozen titles in two years and left the biz not long after winning $20,000 during production of WORLD SPLASH ORGY 2005, the All Worlds Video 20th anniversary blue movie.

So that’s what happened to him, always wondered where he ran off to…always loved his sexy understated look.
What’s going on at C1R? Seems everything they are releasing these days is compilations of old and sometimes very old content. Recently read that ChiChi was more involved with DJ’ing than directing.
Would hate to see them go under??
I heard C1R was limiting their releases this year due to the bad economy. But Chi Chi has fingers in every pie, so maybe she is overextendded.
While being a fan of Kevin this was hardly his best of…they should have called this “the only scenes with kevin brown” since as JC pointed out a dozen titles and then he won the lotto and retired.
This hardly is the best now is it..
