‘Dad Takes a Fishing Trip’ with Joe Gage

I spoke yesterday with director Joe Gage, who is prepping the release of DAD TAKES A FISHING TRIP from D/G Mutual Media, the boutique label he formed a year ago with Ray Dragon. The sexpic is going out via Euro Media Distribution. The road trip picture “explores the lives of a group of men from all walks of life as they each experience their own intergenerational date with destiny” (per the press squib). Allen Silver has the lead with pup Justin Taylor playing his son. Featured players include Felix Andrews, Chad Brock, Dane Hyde, Andrew Justice, Ken Mack, Sean Preston, Richie Sabatini, Colton Steele, Kain Wairn and Josh West. Savoring Falcon’s ‘Pledgemaster’ Series

We wrote in the previous post (scroll down or click the link below) about Falcon Studios‘ forthcoming sexpic PLEDGEMASTER: THE HAZING starring Erik Rhodes and Derrek Diamond. [Edits 01/04/10.] My colleagues over at Unzipped.net have the scoop on another reality-television contestant with a porn past. Emmanuel DelCour, a contestant on the Bravo network’s Chef Academy, has been revealed to be hetero porn star Jean Val Jean [pictured]. Clearly the producers knew about his porn past because the guy is no random hetero skin-biz actor; he’s fairly famous for his insouciant, pretty-boy good looks (he’s also modeled and nabbed a few mainstream acting gigs.) However, I’m not sure we’re also talking about the same “Jean Val Jean” who filmed a bunch of gay fuck flicks earlier this decade — SOCCER SHOOTERS (All Worlds Video, 2003), UP FOR PROMOTION (Regiment Productions, 2003), THE BIG BULGE (Catalina Video, 2003), DEVIL INSIDE and HARD UP (both HIS Video, 2006)? Oprah Talks Porn, Jenna Jameson

Today’s “Oprah” show was all about women and porn, or rather, erotica. (“The difference between pornography and erotica is lighting,” Ms. Gloria Leonard has famously quipped.) Jenna Jameson was interviewed and acquitted herself well, although Oprah was very gentle with her. I was curious as to whether the popularity of all-male porn among women would be addressed, but it didn’t come up (so to speak). Update: ‘Playgirl’ Mag to Return in 2010

We wrote earlier this morning (see the previous post or click the link below) about Levi Johnston‘s Playgirl.com spread, which will be revealed online this weekend. Various media outlets consistently refer to Playgirl as if the print edition hadn’t gone dark almost a year ago, and I wondered aloud whether some kind of standalone special edition was planned or if the layout would be a web exclusive. Both, says Playgirl rep Daniel Nardicio, who saw our story and provides clarification: “The photos start rolling out on Playgirl.com this Saturday, and then the magazine — god be willing — will come out in January,” he told me. “Then we will produce four issues next year with more of my ‘gets’ like Levi.” So there you have it; Playgirl is back from the dead, albeit in limited quantities.

Confirmed: Levi Johnston Won’t Be Nude

[Edits 11/18/09.] The gay/gossip blogosphere is athrum with the news that burgeoning celebrity Levi Johnston will not be nude in his forthcoming spread for Playgirl.com, which sources claim is to be published November 21. He indicated on his Twitter account in late October that this would be the case. Various sources additionally cite Mr. Johnston’s $100,000 fee for the beefcake spread, but this has not been confirmed (see: Towleroad and the New York Daily News). Playgirl spokesrep Daniel Nardicio confirms Mr. Johnston “did not give ‘full frontal’ as his manager Tank (Jones) reported he would. We’re thrilled with the photos we got, and are confident people will love them, but although there may be glimpses, we did not get full-on frontal nudity.” A similar situation unfolded earlier this year when a media/blog blitz was kicked off to announce that Beau Breedlove, the young former intern involved in a sex scandal with Portland, Ore. mayor Sam Adams, would appear nude in gay adult magazine Unzipped. However, Breedlove was not fully naked in the final published layout. Despite consistent media reports indicating otherwise, the print edition of Playgirl went dark with its Jan./Feb. 2009 issue. It’s not clear whether a standalone print edition featuring Johnston’s layout is planned. Update: Mr. Johnston’s reps confirmed to GPTimes that the Twitter account mentioned in this article is a fake.
