Maleflixxx Nabs VOD Rights to Cadinot Catalog

VOD network Maleflixxx.tv has inked an online distribution pact with Gallic studio French Art to make available films from legendary helmer Jean-Daniel Cadinot. It is the first time the studio has offered their titles online through a non-French company. Maleflixxx plans to release a new film every Friday; the French Art catalog includes more than 70 titles spanning four decades. The pact kicked off this past weekend with COURS PRIVÉS (“Private Lessons,” 2002) which after several days of availability became one of the site’s most-watched titles. “The Cadinot films paved the way for other gay production companies,” said French Art Managing Director François Orenn. “Because of this history, we only wanted to provide the VOD rights to a company that truly understands how to market and sell gay content.” Eric Johnson, president of Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution, expressed his gratitude at the chance to promote films by the legendary director, who died in April 2008. “We couldn’t be happier [they] chose Maleflixxx to work with as their first-ever third-party VOD provider,” he said. “As these titles are released across the network, they will not only provide Cadinot and Maleflixxx with a steady revenue stream, but will also allow our affiliates the chance to promote original content that is extremely hard to come by.”
