DrakeRock Director Acquires Company

Press Release Roundup: Director-videographer John Jacobs announced today he has closed on the purchase of the website that employs him, Drake Rock Media, Inc. “This acquisition allows creative control over all aspects of the company, from booking and directly interacting with the talent, to editing and marketing the final product,” he said. The site had been known primarily for its softcore content, an angle which will now “go dormant indefinitely” while Jacobs refocuses the brand on hardcore filmmaking. Three satellite websites — RockHardJocks.com, MalePerfection.net and TheCockTease.com — have been folded into the flagship website. Various blogs have also been combined. Additional tweaks include “the conversion of in-line galleries to a user-friendly lightbox concept, providing unlimited DRM-free downloadable and streaming videos for members and the ability for members to post comments,” a site rep said. As cameraman, Jacobs took on the role of “John” as he coached various performers. “In the beginning I ‘manhandled’ the guys on-camera, so we offered more than solos. I had no intention of it continuing, but the ‘John’ character has become a cornerstone of the site that differentiates us. During daily operations I will assume the moniker of ‘Drake Rock‘ and on-camera I will continue to play the role of John.” Going forward, all newly released episodes will also be released in HD.
