marco-paris-softPress Release Roundup: Veteran performer Marco Paris has added director and burgeoning mogul to his resume. He and partner Bob Jackson have officially launched their pro/am website and VOD site The company launched in May 2009 with a focus on interracial condomless sexploits. They have already produced and released three DVDs, with an additional nine titles on the slate for the coming year. First up is BAREBACKERS GONE ROGUE toplined by Jack Simmons, whose extensive videography stetching back to 1994 made him one of gay adult’s most high-profile African-American performers for over a decade. He has remained offscreen, apart from several B-pictures, since 2006. “I built this website myself with a little help from my friends,” Mr. Paris said. “It was a great learning experience and took longer than I thought it would. But I’m very proud of it. I’ll be working to improve the look and ease of use to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for viewers. I just hope people enjoy my work as much as I enjoy doing it.” A native of Slovakia, Mr. Paris shot more than 60 sexpics for a variety of studios following his 2001 erotic debut.

I just spoke with Marco and he hasn’t signed anyone let alone Jack Simmons.

  2. Jamie on January 8, 2010 4:39 pm Wow, slow loading, forces the browser window to full screen, and then crashes IE. Try again to make sure it wasn’t some weird IE thing, same results. Good job!

At least the site opens in Firefox, albeit slowly and again forcing the window to full screen. At least it didn’t crash the browser! Of course, if your splash screen presents the user with the “leave” button for 20 seconds before the “enter” button, what do you think your users will do?

Maybe Mr. Paris should stick with modeling.

pbrinley — Poor choice of words on my part for the headline. By “sign” I meant “signed up to star in his next movie,” not “signed as an exclusive.”

Excellent point, pbrinley. The site says, “This site is optimized to be viewed on PCs at a screen resolution setting of 1024 x 768.” As a web designer myself (including a few gay porn sites), the last thing I expect potential customers to do is change their screen dimensions to meet my needs. Instead, it should be the other way around.

Only a lazy or stupid web designer would do that. It’s really not difficult to design a site that looks good in all browsers and (almost) all screen dimensions.

I’m not a web designer or a techie in any way, but I had no problem opening this site and navigating through it. So it may not be perfect, Marco, but I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.

I went to the site today and see that Marco Paris has released the video feat Jack Simmons and some new guy Chase Coxx. Has anyone seen it yet?
