He is joined by fellow TitanMen Dean Flynn, JR Matthews and Will Parker with Charly Diaz, Jay Roberts, Ryan Russell and Fabio Stallone — how freaking adorable is that stage name? — who gets to submit to Mr. Anthony in the fourth and final scene. The DVD/Blu-ray of TOOLBOX is available online now at TitanMen.com and hits the wholesale market next month. Man alive, David Anthony does it for me. I look at that easy grin and and scruffy chin and start thinking very dirty thoughts indeed.

‘Chelsea Lately’ Dishes Pornster Real World Troubles

If you watched last night’s episode of Chelsea Lately on E! you heard the host and her roundtable of comedians riff on two stories involving gay porn stars having trouble in the real world with authority figures. She did not mention either performer by name, but Ms. Chelsea and her band of merry pranksters were talking about Jay Armstrong and Kurt Wild. Mr. Armstrong, a law school student, was in the blogs this past week over issues he’s having with a professor who apparently disapproves of his student’s former career as a skin star. He has filed a harassment suit against the professor. We didn’t write it up, so CLICK HERE for more details at Gay Porn Blog. The comedians sympathized with Mr. Armstrong. “In this economy you’ve got to have more than one skill,” snarked one. The story involving Mr. Wild actually occurred in late 2008, but likely the Chelsea Lately writers dredged it up to fill out the segment. Mr. Wild was all over the gay/gossip blogs after he went public with his story of being fired from a Subway outlet when a customer recognized him in his civilian identity and complained to management. It was all over the blogosphere for a hot minute (CLICK HERE for the AfterElton write-up). This isn’t the first time Chelsea Lately has riffed on gay porn; they also took on Michael Lucas and his MEN OF ISRAEL sexpic last summer (see the link below).

2010 GAYVN Awards Still Tenuous

A number of us porn-biz bloggers have been calling, Tweeting and/or emailing Adult Video News for some kind of update about the fate of the 2010 GAYVN Awards. My colleagues over at The Sword finally got AVN Media Network CEO Darren Roberts on the phone this afternoon, who confirmed the GAYVNs have not been canceled, but instead kinda-sorta put on hold while the company seeks a “media partner” to broadcast the event for television, thus enabling AVN to put on the kind of show that would measure up to their standards. If that doesn’t happen, “we might have to look at producing something that’s different, but we don’t have any intent of discontinuing reviewing the gay product or minimizing what’s going on the the gay sector,” Mr. Roberts said. “We’d still like to recognize the achievements within the gay sector.” AVN has made some hay with the broadcast of its straight awards show, as well as red carpet arrivals, on the Showtime pay cable channel for several years. But as The Sword points out, the GAYVNs have never aired anywhere on television, apart from a couple of clips on Bravo‘s Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List back in 2008 when she hosted the show. The Sword wonders whether AVN is “setting the bar unrealistically high by seeking broadcaster funding.” Probably, yeah. But Here Media, which also owns The Advocate, has set about producing a newscast branded after the venerable magazine; Here Media’s principals also own porn company Unzipped Media. They also own Here TV, which runs programming like nude yoga and produced a documentary series about gay porn stars in 2008. I can’t think of anyone else offhand who would bite.

New-ish Release Desk: ‘Skinny Boys,’ ‘Flip Flop’

New Release Desk: Studio 2000 has been fairly quiet over the past several years but they are still turning out product. Four volumes of their shot-in-Argentina PERFECT PAIRS series have now been released, for example. S2K also has several newish films from director Danny Ray on tap: SKINNY BOYS is an amusingly titled twinkish sexpic featuring Boris Encinas — the button-nosed blondine on the DVD insert — and Julian Mattei (the lantern-jawed cutie). Both pupcakes are, well, skinny with long, slender, uncut cocks. Remaining castmates include Lou Devane, Marty Foster, Jonathan Linz, Jason Mannato, Adrian Rogers and Dennis Wesley. They’re relatively fresh faces but I don’t follow the Euro-twink scene as closely anymore — who can keep up? — so I wouldn’t doubt some or all have extensive credits under additional noms de porn. Director Ray also has the recent FLIP FLOP starring muscled, masculine Erik Haaz who is, as the title suggests, sexually versatile. That theme carries over through the film whose cast includes several familiar names, among them Tim Berry, Ruslan Brodovich (quite a handsome hunk), Jerome Reynolds and Lucky Taylor, as well as Devane, Leon Duffin, Radovan Grunberk, Pat Matnevich and Tim Sacks. In case you missed it, the new blue movie “invites viewers to step into the underground world of anonymous sex and blatant hedonism,” set in and around “San Francisco’s most notorious abandoned warehouse,” per the press description. That’s newcomer Craig Reynolds displaying his plush butt on the DVD insert. He is a Hot House exclusive and is joined in the cast by stablemates Ross Hurston, Kyle King, Tony Mecelli (who appears to have stopped aging), Rick Van Sant and Paul Wagner with Rod Daily, Derrek Diamond, Cameron Marshall, Scott Tanner and Josh West. Adult Biz Rallies for Haiti Disaster Relief

Press Release Roundup: Industry publication XBIZ and affiliate program CE Cash have established a website to encourage the adult industry to assist in Haitian relief efforts in the wake of last week’s devastating earthquake (CLICK HERE for the comprehensive Wiki article). The portal site AidHaitiRelief.com includes PayPal and other direct links to organizations participating in disaster relief efforts. CE Cash parent company CyberErotica, whose umbrella also includes CashTraffic.com and XRatedBucks.com, has announced an initial contribution of $10,000. Park Wiley on Filming with G4P Men

We’ll get to other porn news today — although the skin biz seems to have gone quiet in advance of the Cybersocket Web Awards and XBIZ Awards in three weeks — but I wanted to get another perspective on the gay-for-pay debate in here. This short interview with Park Wiley was posted by Jasun Mark of GayDailyHot.com about eight months ago, right after Mr. Wiley filmed opposite G4P’er Bo Dean for Jake Cruise Media (CLICK HERE for the YouTube linkage). He offers his specific point of view on this topic as a gay man working in all-male porn as a bottom. Side note: I’ve been chronicling Mr. Wiley’s career almost from the start. I’ve watched him in action, even directed him. He’s one of those guys who inevitably brings out the best in his costars. I think it’s only partially due to his concerted effort as a conscientious actor who wants to do a great job; there is also a certain irresistible erotic mojo some men exude naturally, a particular mix of pheromones and mental attitude that can rouse the sexual interest of straight men — or very straight-leaning bisexual men. It’s a surprisingly rare gift. Drew Andrews had it. So did Joey Stefano. A little-known performer named Ollie Kicks had it in spades (he made only a handful of films). Jesse Santana could bottle it.

Female Porn Fan POV on G4P Debate

We’ve got another perspective on the gay-for-pay (G4P) debate that has been raging over the past few days here at Gay Porn Times. Over in the Twitterverse, gay-porn superfan Tamara, a/k/a GPCrush, began to chime in here and there. I asked if she’d consider sharing a woman’s thoughts on the subject, and she has done so on her blog: “Gay For Pay: A Straight Girl’s Opinion.” She divides fan opinion on the subject of G4P in separate camps. “One group, the true believers, feel G4Pers are insincere performers who disrespect gay men and deplore the very act of gay sex, the very thing they are collecting a paycheck thus taking work away from true gay performers,” she writes. “It’s gotten quite passionate with models being outed in some G4P McCarthyistic Who’s Who list.” She places herself on the opposite side of this issue. “I can’t just blanket it and say G4P is dreadful. I know some G4Pers. They are great performers, and have mad respect for their coworkers. I know they’ve done straight work, that’s not my thing.
