How does win over Cocksure Men when they don’t even CREATE content? Shouldn’t there be a distinction between tube/streaming sites and original content?

My initial reaction: I pay far more attention to the Surfer’s Choice awards because they give a good indication of what we as porn consumers like, are buying and subscribing to.Savvy companies within the industry would be wise to take note too (wink).Of course personal choice is a very subjective matter and nobody is ever going to get the perfect winning list he/she votes for… As far as the nominees go there are really no loosers; to be nominated in the first place is an honour and an indication of the esteem in which they are held by their audience; it would be ungallant not to acknowledge the fact! I was delighted that ‘Men Of Israel’ won ‘Movie of the year’; I’ve already waxed lyrical about it on here.It just goes to prove that people do appreciate new ideas and themes and don’t want to see the same re-gurgitated scenes/themes over and over; as I keep saying – time to step out of the box.Congratulations to Wolf Hudson on his ‘Surfers Choice Personality’.He’s edgy, different and interesting. We need more
‘characters’ in gay porn – they make great performers. Some of the awards choices I agree with, others I don’t, but at least I did register my votes so regardless of who won I
had the opportunity (like everyone else who did so) to be heard and show my support for the individuals/companies I support/applaud.

congrats to ML, well-deserved BUT, BUT Reese ridout peronsality of the year???? gimme a break, to this we’ve come, a gay4pay nitwit runs off with an award

  4. Allicide on February 9, 2010 12:50 pm

The fact that you believe people’s votes were counted is charmingly naive.

  5. GayPornFans on February 9, 2010 3:18 pm

I knew that the gay-for-pay haters would love Reese Rideout winning an award.

Most of the non-Surfers Choice awards seem to have gone to the sponsors.

Ah, may the best urrrr ummm biggest buyer of ad space win!

No “surfer” (note the outdated 90’s wording they use) ever clicked or so much as heard of No one uses .tv just like no one uses the word “surfer” for people who use the internet anymore.

I don’t mind Reese Rideout winning as much as Cody Cummings. Reese is respectful to his fans and doesn’t seem to need to make a point about how straight he is and how icky gay sex is unlike Cody Cummings.

I read on a blog that Reese Rideout announced he was gay. True ? False? A Joke?

“I knew that the gay-for-pay haters would love Reese Rideout winning an award.”

Reese Rideout’s real life speaking voice is just slightly butcher then Richard Simmons.

@ Allicide: “The fact that you believe people’s votes were counted is charmingly naive.”

I don’t know if votes are counted or not, but it’s not like there’s any integrity in porn anyway (see GAYVN Awards). Someone on Wolf Hudson’s blog wrote that he’d voted for him 50 times. Oh, and Wolf “edgy, different and interesting”? I’ll grant that he is certainly different looking. But someone who chooses to make his sexuality relevant by asserting how straight he is, then following up with “I don’t discuss my sexuality” is full of shit.

  12. Callum on February 10, 2010 5:59 am

I think that Wolf Hudson is edgy, different and interesting.I hear what you say, but my comment is/was not based on his sexual orientation or opinions on sexuality.I was talking about his ‘look’, his interest in dance and performance (other than porn)his
cosmopolitan roots in NYC and training in graphics design. He definitely doesn’t look like the average porn-star and I appreciate that off-beat quality.

Love that won the Best Massage Website category. They’ve been around for soooo long and this is the first year that Cybersocket had added that category. Congrats to them!!!! It’s nice to see that cybersocket has added more and more categories each year – makes for a fun event!

We wanted to win best hookupsite! it was brand new this year and at least its a change from the standard old Manhunt / a4a …

Can’t take this award seriously if Active Duty isn’t nominated. The hottest new thing in video is David from Active Duty. Best thing in porn right now.
