Porn Fans are Feeling ‘Shear Chaos’

New-ish Release Desk: One of the top-selling and -renting titles right now is SHEAR CHAOS, VOL. 3 from web-based studio ChaosMen and director Bryan Ockert. It was actually released in late 2009, but this condomless title is still going like gangbusters and is currently the top-seller on TLAgay.com. With an approximate running time of 170 minutes, the nine-scene sexpic features singly named Ashton, Degan, Ivan, Jayce, Nash, Ransom, Santana, Sebastian, Silas, Teague, Teo, Vance and Zane. “Watch as these horny straight jocks take cock like the pros,” reads the press blurb. The spelling of “shear” as opposed to “sheer” in the title is a play on words — as in “to remove or take off dramatically, to cut away,” as in removing condoms. Previous editions in the series were also commercial hits. As we first wrote back in December (CLICK HERE), ChaosMen “has something of a golden touch with its DVD lines: its CHAOSMEN EDGE SERIES, VOL.1 and VOL. 2 earned back-to-back best amateur video kudos at the GAYVNs in 2008″ and ’09. I’m posting again because the site doesn’t get a lot of hype despite its popularity, and it’s unusual anymore for a sexpic to have an extended life in the marketplace. I’d like to hear from its fans about why its content is so appealing. “Straight” guys and condomless sex are all the rage now, but ChaosMen was formed 2005 and Bryan Ockert was online more than a decade ago, 1998 or so, with his own cam site. It’s a $20 bareback title featuring hot guys, and reasonably well filmed. Nine scenes blows away the competition whether sheathed or not. What’s not to like?
The reason that ‘Chaosmen’ is so successful is all down to the sheer CREATIVITY of the man who runs it in my opinion- Bryan Ockert. Above all else he is an extremely talented and creative man whose photographic background and artistic sensibilities pervade everything he undertakes. Chaosmen has Bryan’s unique hand-writing stamped all over it. His ‘Edge’ series is quite extraordinary – he took the classic concept of a guy being serviced and elevated it to a whole new level by introducing psychological elements – and all in a hopelessly stylish manner not seen in gay web porn before – or since. His true talent/appeal is not only thinking outside of the box, but actually stepping outside of it and putting his ideas into practice. Being an oral aficionado/nut I really appreciate his ‘Serviced’ videos which focus entirely on blowjobs with a dash of rimming thrown into the mix. I actually prefer watching blowjobs to fucking, so this is a big incentive for me to join/remain with a site. Bryan uses a very good mix of guys who are mostly of frat-age but there is a sprinkling of mature/hunky types also; he was one of the first websites to feature one of my all-time favourite hunks and a man who truly puts the ‘P’ into passion – the Italian-born hottie SLADE. Bryan blew him in a ‘Serviced’ video and it was electric!
Apart from the great porn he makes for his site, Bryan comes across as unpretentious, modest and always charmingly candid about his work. He also gives something back to his members: for the past two years at Christmas he has staged what he calls “an end of year blow-out” in which he releases a new video each day for seven days during the holiday period as a thank you to members. In my mind that says a lot about him, not only as a shrewd businessman but about his generosity of spirit. His site doesn’t get a lot of hype – he just gets on with things and I really think that he deserves a lot more kudos for the way in which he has pushed the envelope creatively with his porn offerings. I second Callum’s comments. I’ve been a fan for years and love the mix of guys. Some preppy, some scruffy, a few older. Bryan is a one man operation and does all the filming by himself. When he’s in the video, he has several still cameras placed around the room. I love the Edge videos.
Condomless porn kills? Then I must be a deadman with all the bareback porn I have! Condomless porn did not kill anyone EdWoody, it was the persons who do not get tested or lie about thier status and then choose to be in bareback porn and knowingly or not give someone else HIV that kills. Sad but that does not make bareback porn the scapegoat.

I didn’t say Donny caught HIV on a movie set. Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t. But what Cobra et al are definitely guilty of is providing a bad example.
What these companies should be doing is teaching the young men they hire the things they need to know about sex, the stuff the schools do not teach them because they’re too puritan. Older gay men should be mentoring the next generation to avoid the same mistakes they made.
Instead what they’re doing is taking advantage of naive kids who are horny, not telling them the risks, paying them to fuck without condoms. Then it becomes habit, and these kids go out into the world and fuck bare. Then they die.
And don’t tell me they make their choice. They can’t make their choice if they don’t have all the information. They’re not like the grown men who sign up to TIM because they’ve got nothing left to live for.
These are children who need guidance, not exploitation.
