Jason Adonis, Ricky Sinz are ‘Brutal’

Blue-eyed musclebod Jason Adonis has joined the cast of BRUTAL which is currently shooting in San Francisco for Raging Stallion Studios and helmer Tony Dimarco. I’m told the sports-themed sexpic will be the company’s big-budget, awards-contending epic for early 2011. Ricky Sinz, a boxer in real life, has the lead. Adonis has been busy since he joined the roster of talent manager David Forest‘s The Premiere Artists. He will anchor a threeway with Trent Diesel and Spencer Reed for BRUTAL, which will films this week. It is Adonis’ second high-profile blue-movie gig in a month: He’s also booked to topline POLICE ACADEMY for Jet Set Men.

Press Release Roundup: Have any of our Constant Readers visited the blog “Confessions of a New York Rent Boy“? (CLICK HERE). We received a press release this week touting its burgeoning traffic for stories of, well, a rent boy in the Big Apple. This kind of thing isn’t exactly new: Benjamin Nicholas, for example, has famously made his bones in this sub-genre for some time. And way back in the 1999-2000, pornster-escort-mogul Aaron Lawrence actually self-published two books articulating his tricks of the trade. Now we’ve got Hunter Andrews, who is also apparently quite a looker if this photo is accurate and not promo art. The blog has been active since May and clearly Mr. Andrews (or whomever is writing the entries) has a literary bent. A book, no doubt, is in the works. PacSun Inks Digital Distribution Deal

Press Release Roundup: Production and distribution house Pacific Sun Entertainment, based in North Hollywood, California, has inked a digital distro pact with Colorado-based Digital Tipi Inc. to stream its extensive catalog of all-male blue movies. The companies have partnered on Gaycast.tv for the venture. Content will be adaptable to iPhones, iPads and other mobile devices as well as computers and television sets. Payment options include a monthly fee for unlimited viewing or a pay-per-minute option. “With so much content available on the web, and so much of it inferior and amateur, we’re proud to make it easy for the consumer to find just the kind of action he craves,” said Digital Tipi President Jim Greer in the press announcement. The New York Post notes HBO is sketching out a new drama series about the porn biz that will mix actors and adult performers. Steve Levinson and Mark Wahlberg—of Entourage fame—are onboard as executive producers with James Frey writing the pilot episode. “The plot will focus on a giant video company under siege from internet competitors,” notes the Post. Its protagonist is currently a Midwest ingenue with stars in her eyes. “We’re going to make a sprawling epic about the porn business in L.A. The Raging Stallion Studios blue movie snagged six nods: Best Actor, Director and Videography, Best Group Scene and Best Actor and Supporting Actor. Tied in second place with five noms apiece are DAD TAKES A FISHING TRIP (D/G Mutual Media) and TAKEN: TO THE LOWEST LEVEL (Rascal Video). Two Lucas Entertainment sexpics are in third with three nods each: INSIDE ISRAEL and WALL STREET. There is a five-way tie among performers for most citations. Earning three noms each are Damien Crosse, Steve Cruz, Francesco D’Macho, Wilfried Knight and Spencer Reed. An updated nominations tally appears to put Lucas Entertainment out in front of all studios with fifteen noms, followed by Raging Stallion at fourteen citations. 2010 GAYVN Noms Announced

Press Release Roundup: AVN Media Network has announced its slate of nominees for the 2010 GAYVN Awards. “We had an impressive number of pre-nominations this year from across the spectrum,” said AVN COO Janet Gibson. “The nominating committee was tireless its efforts to whittle the list down to a manageable size, but none of the categories was easy to narrow. Difficult decisions had to be made.” GIbson notes in the press announcement that two categories were dropped—Best Mega-Site and Best Retail/VOD Site—as many or most of the potential nominees offer condomless, or bareback, content. The GAYVNs have traditionally excluded condomless films from awards consideration. “Selecting nominees for the web categories was particularly difficult, as non-condom content abounds on the web,” Gibson notes, adding the awards committee is “considering guidelines under which bareback content will be considered for next year’s awards.” In addition to dropping two categories, three new categories were added: Best Fetish Release, Best Amateur/Pro-Am Release and Best Sex Comedy. Topco Unveils Steven Daigle Dildo
