[Edits 09/28/10.] All-male adult’s busy month of gay porn awards continues with the 2nd annual Hustlaball Awards nominations. Performers, films and studios in 26 categories are cited, many of which are separated by European Union (EU) and United States (US) classifications. Winners will be unveiled during a ceremony preceding Hustlaball Circuit Party Weekend October 22 in Berlin. The announcement follows the FlavaMen Blatino Awards several weeks ago and the JRL Gay Film Awards this past weekend, and precedes the GAYVN Awards this weekend. Bel Ami and Lucas Entertainment lead all studios with 13 and 12 citations, respectively, while three studios snagged 11 nods: Dick Wadd, World of Men and Wurstfilm. Among individuals, World of Men’s performer-mogul Collin O’Neal earned four nominations—best performer and performer website, best director and best top. Seven models earned two nods: Jonathan Agassi, Elliot Corrigan, Jasper Emerald, Kris Evans, Jordan Fox, DeAngelo Jackson and Lars Svenson (whose nascent RawRiders Studios earned four citations overall). JRL Award Winners: Jet Set, Hazzard, Killian, Lucas

Press Release Roundup: The list of winners for the first JRL Gay Film Awards has been released. As noted earlier, the awards show unspooled Sunday night at Jewel’s Catch One nightclub in Downtown Los Angeles. Performer Johnny Hazzard led all individuals with five nominations. Performer-moguls Brent Corrigan and Michael Lucas, model-videographer Adam Killian, and director-producer Steven Scarborough snagged four noms apiece. Hazzard, Lucas and Killian each won two awards. We’re still tallying up the dozens of winners but it appears Lucas Entertainment took home five trophies while Channel 1 Releasing (via All Worlds Video and Rascal Video), Raging Stallion Studios and Treasure Island Media each won four awards. Dept. of Self-Promotion: So due to a previous commitment, GPTimes was unable to attend the inaugural JRL Gay Film Awards last night. The winners were announced during a ceremony hosted by promoter-host Jason Sechrest at Jewel’s Catch One nightclub in Downtown Los Angeles. We received some unusual texts during the night from attendees—something about a fight in the bathroom? Plus, Chi Chi LaRue debuted a new safer-sex PSA called “Shut Your Hole” during the show. More on that later. But a text of definite interest was when our colleague and fellow Best Gay Porn Blog of the Year nominee MOC Blog wrote to say GPTimes actually won the category. At post time, their official awards website hadn’t been updated with a full winner’s list, so don’t pop any corks yet. But cheers to MOC Blog for the news. Details later today.

JRL Gay Film Awards Unspool Sunday

As we’ve blogged, September is a busy, busy month for gay porn awards. Several weeks ago we had the Flava Men Blatino Awards handed out in Atlanta (see the link below) and next week we’ve got the whole GAYVN Awards hoopla in San Francisco. We’re tallying up the many nominees for the 2nd Annual Hustlaball Awards; winners to be announced during Hustlaball weekend October 22 in Berlin. And finally—well, probably, there might be another awards show I missed—the inaugural JRL Gay Film Awards will be handed out tomorrow night here in La-La Land. Promoter-publicist Jason Sechrest will emcee from Jewel’s Catch One nightclub in Downtown Los Angeles. (See the links below for past stories and background info.) Nominees in some 50-odd categories were announced at the end of May (GPTimes is a nominee for best gay porn blog of the year); online fan voting wrapped last month.
